view & uploadloved car, really great price, nice experience, clean interior, great super low miles, full huh, not even bother setting
Be Careful. Vincent seemed like an upstanding guy, so I was more trusting than I should have been. I bought a 2002 Jeep Wrangler described as in great condition and within a few days I put more than $1200 into getting it road-worthy. The transmission needed a costly servicing ($725) and the water pump was shot ($400) plus the extra costs for diagnosing these problems. Just make sure you have a mechanic check out the car BEFORE you sign!
These guys should be out of business.
I am not sure how these guys are still in business. They treat there customers horribly (like all other reviews have stated)
My son and i went in there to buy a car which we did end up getting. I was looking at 3 cars told the erik my financial situation that i was a single mother and i was spending ALL THE MONEY I HAD on this car so i needed something that was going to last and be extrememly reliable. He assured me this was the most reliable car out of the 3 i was looking at and even went as far as to say it was the safest on the lot!
Bought the car HAD TO PAY CASH which should have been a big red flag.
Less than 3 weeks later my engine blows up on me ON THE FREEWAY with my 7 month old son in the backseat, i was terrified and had no idea what to do. I paid to have the car towed off the freeway that night and the very next day went it to talk to them about it. Erik was not there so i spoke to vincent who is completely full of sh**
the biggest liar i have ever met. He acted stunned that my engine would have blown up but was all to familiar with the car i had bought. There were other customers sitting in the office and he was very eager to get me out of there as to not ruin his sale.
He explained to me that this has happened to them on MANY occasions and that "we have been in business for 24 years we dont turn away our customers if they have a problem with a car we sold them" told me to go walk the lot and find a car i would like to use on loan until they could fix the engine in my car.
After the couple buying the car finished and left he told me he was not "authorized" to give me a loner and that i would need to wait to talk to erik the following day, but that he would come in early to take care of everything for me and he would call me no later than 10 to get the situation resolved.
I called them the next day and he was irritated rude and would not even hear me out before hanging up.
After waiting around for hours for them to call me back i showed up in person which infurriated them. They said i needed to call before just showing up as they are busy
Erik then explained to me that there was nothing they had to do for me because they sold me the car on a "as is" basis and he was under no obligation to do anything for me even though i has not even had the car for a month. I asked him, about the loner car that vincent had told me they would do for me, he said vincent was not authorized to make ANY deals with customers and that "vince would never say that to you" He told me that because i was nice and a single mother he would have my car towed to there mechanics by the end of the day.
At the end of the day i got a call from vince on behalf of erik saying they did not tow my car like they had said but instead would come out and take a look at the thing the following morning and then go from there.
They came out, looked at my car realized the engine was blown as i had said and left. DID NOTHING TO HELP ME.
I went back in there the following day with a quote from my mechanic to put a used engine in the car it was 2,600 dollars, i asked them to pay for HALF since they had sold me a car i believe they KNEW was going to break down any min. he told me he was not obligated nor would he do that.
At this point i was so frustrated i told him that if he was unwilling to cooperate i was going to make him lose more money in business than it was going to take to actually fix my car, he started to get real angry and actually yelled at me telling me "im not a car salesman i'm crazy, im from new york" said i didnt want to f*** with him because everyone that has was sorry!
I URGE YOU TO NOT BUY FROM THESE DEALERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THEY ARE SCAM ARTIST AND WILL SCREW YOU OVER!!!!!!!! I would like to pickett on the street in front of there property and inform people of the way they do business and the type of cars they are selling to people.
Jeep Country. We looked online and went in and met with Vincent. We didn't like the vehicle we looked at so he showed us more online that were in the warehouse. We saw one we liked, he drove it in the next day. My husband took it out. He went over it with a fine tooth comb. He liked it and bought it. Vincent was very patient the whole time, he didn't hard sell us, and he wasn't bothered that my husband wanted to check every little thing out. We then took it to a mechanic to have the oil changed and the guy did a few small things but said it was in great condition and that we bought a good, solid, clean vehicle. We are happy with our purchase.
RUDE and SHADY.
Sure wish I would have read these reviews before driving out there. The owner of this place is a total a**hole. He wants you to show up, cash in hand, ask no questions (though he asks many of you, like if you are going to buy a car today), take no test drive and just buy the car. I think he wants to get rid of them before people notice all the problems. I don't think they are legit at all.
Not only do I think that no one should ever buy a car here, I actually think they should be shut down because they are ripping people off.
This is my first internet review that I've ever written. I was that floored with how rude these guys were.
Dodgy cars; terrible, rude service.
This was the worst experience I have had shopping for a car.
My wife and I were looking to buy a Porsche - not cheap and something that we had saved for for a long time. They had a 911 convertible that looked cheap-ish, but good.
We called in advance and the man was very short with us: 'Will you pay cash?' It was like he was doing us a favour. We got there exactly on time and he was gruff and short with us again, but he started the car, let us play with the controls and review the Carfax report. I thought he was perhaps just like that. The car seemed superficially very good.
Then he wouldn't let us rev the engine, even after it had warmed up. But he would do it for us and there was no smoke, so I let that go. Then he said that he did not want us to take a test drive. Odd, but he eventually conceded when we looked serious.
Then the really odd/bad part. We were meant to take the car out with his brother. But there was a set short route. I asked about going on the freeway and he looked at the floor and said that he was not insured for that. This is odd because as I understand it test driving is covered by the driver's insurance. I asked again and pointed out that we had just test-drove a car that had started billowing smoke on the freeway and we wanted to do it. He repeated the same story. I said outright that I did not believe him. He then got in the car, drove it back on the lot and said that he wouldn't let us drive 'his' car. I was so shocked I did not know what to do. I decided to try pull this back from the brink - I was intrigued by the car (if now very suspicious). But he wouldn't have any of it. He was angry and rude and said he would not 'kiss my a**'. I was stunned. We just left. Shocked.
In retrospect, I'm pleased. The car might have looked fine but if he won't let me rev the car or drive it on the freeway what were the chances he would let me have it inspected? Bound to be a dog.
Don't look here - pay slightly more and get something better from someone who isn't rude and you feel that you can trust.
You catch more flies with honey.....
I tried to put zero stars for the rating but it won't let you.
How refreshing to see others have had the same experience at Auto Boutique as I have: POOR!
After I drove 3 hours from out of town, Vince did not have my car from his warehouse yet. At that point he was still polite, after driving the car I found three main problems: one of the front seats was not power, which they advertised as such, there was a huge scrape on the pass side rear panel and the last was a silver dollar sized hole in one of the brake lenses. I had done my homework and when I sat down to negotiate with Vince he immediately became short with me.
When I brought up Kelly Blue Book value he said they don't go by that, they only go by "street value."
When I mentioned the issues I had found, he said those didn't mean the car should be less.
He wanted 5810 out the door and I offered him 5000 out the door. He said I had wasted my time and his.
I was in a little surprised and thanked him for his time as I made my way to the door and Vince just glared at me.
Thanks for making my decision to not give you my money an easy one.
DO NOT WASTE YOU TIME WITH THIS PLACE,
unless you enjoy rude, unproffessional people who are unwilling to work with you on a fair price.
waste of money total lemon!.
I purchased and Audi from Auto Boutique in Van Nuys . What a piece of JUNK! I told the salesman that I was purchasing the car and driving it a long distance out of state. I asked them if it was mechanically sound and they told me yes. To make a long and painful story short, the car overheated and the coolant lines to the turbo engines had leaks and the car left me stranded between LA and Las Vegas with no tow service for 200 miles! Great a woman in the middle of nowhere with intermittent cell service and a car that over heated and is undriveable!
When help finally arrived, the car was towed to Vegas.
The car was stuck at the audi dealership in Vegas for days and after thousands of dollars in repairs , hotel bills etc I was on my way again.
A short while after, I noticed a strong gas smell and the rear tire was also flat. I drove the car to a mechanic and he just replaced all 6 fuel injectors for another grand total of 2000.00! This car has been nothing but head aches and I am so sorry I trusted these guys. The photos of the car looked great and the description sounded great, but the car is terrible. DONT BUY A CAR FROM THE INTERNET WITOUT A FULL MECHANICAL INSPECION!!! IT has cost me time, energy, frustration and money. Not worth dealing with Auto Boutique I feel totally ripped off. The worst car buying experience ever!
rude!. they are very rude and they dont care whether you want to buy car or not. It`s like they sell car as side biz..
Just plain rude, don't waste your time!. Went to see about an Audi. Started to ask questions about the background of the car. Vince didn't know where it came from, the boss did. As soon as I asked about maintenance history, Vince turned around and walked back to into office without saying a word. That speaks volumes!!! Came back to give them another chance and asked them about my trade in. The "boss" said he could not offer me a fair price because the headlight mounting screws had been loosened and therefore the car might have been in an accident and painted. I had loosened the screws in order to change the bulb. He told me I should not have done that...what?
DON'T GO HERE. What kind of car dealer is rude and doesn't let their customers take a car to the dealer to be inspected??? They are definitely hiding something with their cars. Listen to the other reviewers and don't get caught up in their cheap prices. Anyone who rates this company 5 stars has to work for the company.
