Bad Vibes Sensed by Dog and Owner

For some reason, my dog really dislikes this place and now,so do I.
The 3rd time I brought her there, the person in the run just allowed all the other dogs to "gang" up on her and several tried to hump her and they did not try to stop it. My dog was uncharacteristically very intimidated and her hair went up and she growled. I have never seen her do this before anywhere...EVER!
When I leave her anywhere else, the staff knows how to properly ease her into the group without incident.
I took my dog in there the other day and asked the 2 girls at the desk if they would kindly look out for my dog when she went into the run so that she does not get overwhelmed and they both stared at me as if I was speaking Greek. Then one of them said "We don't handle the dogs ourselves" HUH?
Then a guy came out to take my dog, so I politely asked him the same thing and he said "You mean you don't want your dog in with the other dogs"? HUH???
Then I asked to speak to whoever was in charge and when a gentleman started to approach the lobby, the receptionist ran up and blocked him from coming out to talk to me, while she seemed to be frantically warning him in whispered tones before she would let him come out there to speak to me. I could have recounted the situation perfectly well myself and I did not need her to "TRANSLATE" for me especially since her communication skills were already in question.
HERE IS MY POINT REGARDING CUSTOMER SERVICE:
When I asked if they would help me integrate my dog smoothly into the group, any normal employee anywhere else would have said:
"OF COURSE, I WILL PERSONALLY TELL THE PERSON IN THE RUN THAT THEY SHOULD MAKE SURE THAT SHE DOES NOT GET OVERWHELMED AND/OR HUMPED WHEN SHE FIRST GETS INTO THE GROUP SINCE IT HAPPENED ONCE BEFORE"
But not these two. They just stared at me blankly
as if I was from Mars.
Needless to say, I WAS NOT HAPPY....
I took my dog out of there and brought her across the street where the staff actually knows how to accommodate the customers and their dogs needs, using some common sense and some decent customer service principles.
The BEST!

They are the friendliest people i have met. They love dogs and love their job. Johnny and Tyler have helped me out of situations when i thought i had no other choice. They watch my dog when i am away, walk my dog every day, and have actually become friends through the process. They are wonderful! And anyone would be lucky to have their pet taken care of by them.
Just doesn't better than this!

If you have a canine, any canine, and you love them as your children, then LA Dogworks is THE place to have the staff care for and love them. I two "children" attending LA Dogwaorks during the day and at times boarding...and I am at peace knowing they are there.
- Pros: Caring staff, great service and tons of love for the pups!

I have been a staff member at LA Dogworks for over a year and a half. My father is in the pet industry and met Andrew at an expo in San Diego. My father mentioned I love dogs and needed a job because I was graduating college in the spring. I was immediately offered a job and jumped at the chance. I thought I knew a lot about dogs because my mom is a groomer and Ive always had 2 or more dogs in my house growing up. Its amazing how much I have learned in the time working there. I am now a certified pet care technician, certified in canine CPR and first aid. I love working there. I love the dogs so much. When I take a vacation to head home, I find mysele thinking about the dogs and how they are doing. I have gotten to know the dogs and their owners so well and I enjoy seeing them everyday. The working environment is the best in the world. We have the best staff yet at LA Dogworks and I treat my fellow employees and managers as my family. I know If I ever need anything they will be there in a heart beat. I bring my dog everyday and she absolutely loves it. When I ask her if she wants to go to work she gets so excited and jumps and hops around. I just wanted to thank LA Dogworks for providing me with such a great experience. This is the most special place I have ever encountered. Thank you guys :)
