Great place. VERY Clean & dogs are Happy!!! NOT noisy & dogs play. I was there several times before leaving my two sensitive & severely spoiled bulldogs. Our one English bulldog takes a lot of medication for seizures, allergies & thyroid problems & they never messed up with the meds. I would know this because he would have had an episode and been very withdrawn & tired when we picked him up. The first time our boys went they didn't want to leave us. Now we take them there and they run right into the back without even saying "goodbye". Only negative is that the front desk is overwhelmed with phones, people and dogs. They easily get distracted and confused. Confirm your reservation & pickups/dropoffs. Type out all schedules of medications and treats or special routines. I don't care what they write down in a chart. If you provide them with two schedules.. one that goes with the meds and one that can be posted in front of their kennel, then you can feel reassured that you took the necessary care to prepare them. Don't leave your dog's care to a kid whose's writing down what he/she thinks they heard you say.

I knew what I wanted in a kennel for my dog and I found it and more at LA Dogworks. I was skeptical at first after reading the negative reviews on City Search but I kept on hearing friends and other people at the dog parks I go to rave about it. I called and made an appointment for my "evaluation" I was put off a bit because after all I was evaluating LA Dogworks. When I got there I was amazed by the grooming going on right in the open for everyone to see, one point for LA Dogworks. I walked in with my dog who immediately wanted to run to the dogs in the play area, he was excited, not a normal reaction for him. A big hello from the front desk and suddenly a very quirky high energy girl was kissing my dog and she asked if she could give him a treat. I am glad she asked as my dog has a funny stomach and most treats upset his belly. She told me they are Nutro for sensitive stomachs, I bought a box, one more point for LA Dogworks. I will say after reading about the urine smell on City Search I failed to see or smell what people were talking about. There was a slight something but nothing to write about. I introduced myself and informed the girl that I was here for my evaluation. She grabbed a walkie talkie and announced my arrival. Moments later I was met by a pretty girl with a big smile. Next thing we were in a room being asked all sorts of questions about my dog. Then she took him to the play area to see how he would be with the other dogs, and I go a tour. We both passed the evaluation. As I was paying for the items I purchased in the store a man came up to me and asked how we did, I said we passed and his next words were just the thing I wanted to here, he said," that's great, welcome to the family" with that he bent down and literally kissed my dog on the muzzle. That was about three months ago. My dogs goes almost every other day for daycare and boards when I travel. He has never gotten sick, he loves going there and I do too. 1000 points for LA Dogworks!!
