In Short – The interior makes East Coasters feel at home with old photos, murals, subway signs, and a New York crust that's perfect for folding. Thin-crust pizzas and thick Sicilians fly from the kitchen to tables. Tomato basil, Hawaiian and white pizza with spinach are by-the-slice offerings, while whole pies can be built to order from a generous list of toppings that include tomato chunks, garlic, peppers, mushrooms, pepperoni and sausage.

Originally from NY, I expected better. The place was dirty, tables filthy, and we had to clean our own. Value for the one topping slice was worthless. The server/cashier was a ditz. Only dough/crust, was acceptable, but the server did not put the spinach on top of our white pizza. At first we thought the dark green parsley bits in the cheese must be the spinach, but when we walked out, the server was giving others mounds of spinach and when we complained the mgr was belligerent and yelled. I don't care how many stars have gone here never again! They must be pocketing their cash only business too!!
- Pros: crust
- Cons: everything else
Great Pizza!

Pizza place is simple, with a good selection. They heat it up upon order. You feel like you're in NY with its decor, though they are decorated with pictures of the london subway.
I haven't been back in awhile, since the good 'ol college days. But I stop by anytime I'm in town.
- Pros: Nice NY style pizzaria
- Cons: No parking
Worst Service and lame attitude - mediocre pizza
by leavenworth at Citysearch
We have an account with LaMonica's here at UCLA. They deliver pizza to us every week. You'd think they'd be grateful for the business and try to get her on time BEFORE the seminar starts as we request they do. Today the delivery guy was half an hour late! When he showed up he wasn't the slightest bit apologetic. We asked if he was lost (you can excuse a new guy who doesn't know the campus too well) and he shrugged it off and said, "no, the traffic was bad." Well maybe if he left early (we gave them two hours from the time the order was placed) the traffic wouldn't have been so bad! Unbelievable. When we called earlier to find out where the dude was the woman taking the order (after keeping me on hold for 5 minutes) simply stated, "he left already" then hung up on me!
Oh, as for the quality of the pizza -- it's strictly mediocre, greasy, dorm room stuff you get when it's 3 AM and you have no other choice (not that they'd be open that late but you get the picture).
If you want quality, I'd suggest traveling to Echo Park for Masa of Echo Park! Now there is some tasty pizza...
- Pros: it's hot pizza
- Cons: terrible customer service; uncaring, indifferent attitude
