Excellent Bread. Small cozy atmosphere, tap water served in vintage Coke glasses, adequate portions, but food lacks flavor, spices or herbs missing. Linguine Vongole: too soupy, pasta was cooked al dente, but needed something. Rigatoni toscana: grilled chicken too much char for my taste. Farfalle bowtie chicken spinach could've used some fresh basil

Fond Memories, Great Food, Fantastic Tiramisu. This restaurant will always hold fond memories for my friends and I. We went here for dinner one day. Though the place was small we were seated after a short wait where we spent at the Borders across the street. The staff was attentive. The highlight was definitely the food. I had the Linguine Alle Vongole. The sauce was made just right and the portion was big. What made the night memorable was the tiramisu. Though I did not eat it, the noises that come out of both of my friends almost made me reconsider the fact that I did not like sweets. According to them this was the best tiramisu that they had ever had.

Good food. Tiny restaurant.. I've been here a bunch of times. The food is excellent. The restaurant is very tiny and they pack you in there. Despite the small size, and it always being full, we've never had to wait that long for a table. I recommend the gnocci -- it is great. There is only street parking in that area, which can sometimes be a pain.

Consistent food, Great service, Cozy atmosphere. I have been coming here on a weekly basis for the last 6 years. The food is always great, the service is top notch and the food is always delicious!

Tried and true Italian food with daily specials that are always great!

The Oso bucco is heavenly, tasty thin crust pizza and pasta dishes that are just the right size and are enjoyable to my palate.

Deserts:

The panacotta is one of my favorite deserts, velvety smooth, lovely vanilla flavour that melts in my mouth!

Tiramisu and David's carrot cake is also very good!

One of my neighbourhood favorites!

Awful service, okay food but small portions. We originally made reservations but some of our party failed to show up and in turn, when we got there, we recieved a HUGE lecture by the host about how we shouldn't have made a reservation for more than were coming. We were apologetic, but it still didn't stop the lecture. We totally felt like little kids that did something wrong...like we knew people were going to cancel on us and made the reservation just to pist him off.

On top of that, we were ignored the whole evening. They refused to fill our water and drinks and made us wait a long time for our food. We don't know if it was vindictive or not, but I wouldn't be surprised if someone did something inappropriate in our food because I had an upset stomach that night.

However, I do have to give a little credit because they did have really good meatballs, but the portions were really small compared to the prices. Definitely a Below Average experience for us!!

Made a reservation and still was not seated 45 minutes later. I've been to Pomodoro three times and have enjoyed it immensely on each occassion, which is why it pains me to give them this bad review. A group of us made reservations last night at 8:30 and we were still not seated by 9:15. The host repeatedly told us a table would be ready and that he was just waiting for a group to pay their bill. After checking with him for the third time, he admitted they had already paid their bill 10 minutes ago and he was very sorry. From what I could see, this table had no intention of leaving as they were passing around baby pictures. The host made no offers to ask them to leave and just said he was sorry again. I'm sorry too. Sorry that he doesn't understand the concept of a reservation and sorry that he is an a-hole. Needless to say, I will not be returning to Pomodoro.

Great place!. The food here is very good and has reasonable prices. The sauces for the pastas are always great. I Highly reccomend getting a Pizza as an appetizer, they are the best around!

Very flavorful and Great Prices!!!. Pomodoro is such a great Italian restaurant. Their food is extremely flavorful. Their food is VERY reasonably priced as well as they have excellent service. The ambience is very cute as well. :) They get very crowded at lunch and dinner, so I would definitely recommend making reservations.

Most authentic Italian food, incredible prices. After spending a year in Italy including several other visits, my friend calls this his favorite restaurant in Los Angeles. The prices are ridiculous compared to the excellent quality of authentic Italian food. The secret is out, though. This wonderfully romantic and europpean restaurant is always packed. There is almost no room to stand and wait for a table inside, as the restaurant is crammed with as many tables as will fit it. Once seated, the bread is fresh, warm, and memorable, and the service is attentive. For being such a busy restaurant, the food arrives at a decent time. I order the quatro staggioni with the dressing on the side- perfect for my diet program. Tastes great, and I look forward to it each time. My friend orders the pizza (his favorite in all of LA), the puttanesca sauce, and the chicken (any). All of it is "amazing". It's one of our favorite restaurants in Los Angeles, and we highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a fun/romantic night out, great food, and incredibly low prices. A plus: often you will hear real, native Italian being spoken; a testament to this jewel's authenticity.

Great little casual place for Fresh Food and Great Service. I have never been disappointed when I eat here. It's hard to find a casual, moderatly priced italian place that has inspired food like Pomodoro has. It's so fresh and delish, I love coming here. The wait staff also does a great job and are very helpful. I almost dont want to let the secret out about how good it is.
