Tips for Club Metro-Ultra Suede

Move On and Don't Waste Your Time.. Normally this sort of place is not my thing. Bunch of people trying so desperately to be seen as something they are not, and the music isn't anything special or original. But I was visiting a friend in Hollywood and he suggested we check it out since neither of us had ever been there.

We got in line around midnight on Saturday and there were maybe 10 people in line ahead of us. We stood in line for almost 20 or 30 minutes. No one working at the club said anything to inform us while we waited in line. The only time the line EVER moved was when someone GOT OUT OF LINE TO GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. So that's exactly what we did, we went to several other places that didn't waste our time. Besides, the fire escape staircase entrance is a drunken deathtrap waiting to happen.

Same owners/staff as The Factory (very demeaning and disrespectful). was a great customer, new into town and meeting a lot of friends from August 2007 to April 2008. I was there every weekend. Even the promoters would call and ask to join and eat at the owners' restaurant. There was no problem getting hook ups (tables and drinks and cover-wise). I didn't mind paying either. Then during the SheBar event last April 2008, I stood on a platform next to the DJ stage, slipped and my leg got stuck between two platforms. I had severe contusions in my calf and hamstring and all around my knee. I ended up getting fluid in the knee and clots in my leg. To this day my nerves are damaged. The hematoma from the point of impact is hard and there is a four inch-round area of extreme discoloration, perhaps permamnent discoloration. I went back to visit one of my friends' parties and they kicked me out of the club. It was utterly embarrassing. I was treated like a hoodlum. The security looked very angry at me and viscous, as if I was about to be socked. All I did was ask why. It was a true insult to my injury. I never even hired a lawyer or anything. All I asked is if they would cover my freaking bills and have their insurance cover mine and for the claim to cover pain and suffering. I have not been able to work out since then. They are selfish, rude and use you like a rug. While they may seem like a friend, they don't care. That night, I asked the owner Robin Ganz herself for help and she made a comment, "Oh you just want Julie the promotoer to kiss it.". I was literally crying in pain. I asked for the very least. It wouldn't even have come out of their pocket because they pay insurance, the building insurance would just reimburse mine, and they won't even let that happen. They told the security to mock me and tell me they have never heard or see that happen to anyone and say they weren't there to see it happen. They just want your money. Truly they hate people in their 20's unlike their competitor
