Yuck! – I have no idea why this has a high rating. Panang Curry was just ok. The Chicken Satay was MICROWAVED! And Pad-See-Ew was more like Pad-See-YUCK!
Go somewhere else. You'll thank me.
Great customer service – They have a great yellow curry that comes with chicken and a large portion of white rice, their pad se ew is satisfying, and you can't go wrong with good old pad thai. You also get three free spring rolls with an order of $20 or more (something like that). The decor inside has a cozy feel to it with warm colors and nice table settings. I'm most impressed with the customer service - everyone is very friendly and accommodating. One time we were there just to pick up our take-out order, and they insisted that we sit down at a table and got us water while we waited (for less than five minutes).
great local thai food – this pace has the best curries. it is on Wetwood bl near westwood village. it has been there for years and is not a very big restaurant but the food is great. the have a great Panang curry and a very good pad thai. the food is freash and they also deliver!!!
best thai food in westwood! – Try the green curry, the red curry, the vietnamese spring rolls with tofu, and more! The food is all delicious! Finish your meal off with thai coffee and lots of creme! Enjoy!
Nice place, nice location – Good thai food if you happen to be somewhere near ucla. Owner is nice too.
Foods are not too expensive either.
Simply the best Thai food in westside.......A Must try food – I love the food here so much. I always go there when thinking about Thai food. Very comfortable place to sit , chat and relax while enjoying their food. Everything I ordered are perfect and tasty...Very friendly services too....Simply the best Thai food in westside.
OMG....Emporium Crispy Wings and Catfish Cha Cha Cha were soooo delicious. – OMG.....They have introduced new dish "Emporium Crispy Wings" and "Catfish Cha Cha Cha". They were sooooooo good. I couldn't wait to go back their and have them again. They also have "Salmon Teriyaki" and "Southern Curry Chicken". I really love the atmosphere of this place. Nice and Romantic. Truly a GEMS in LA.
Don't Order Takout – We ordered three common takout dishes from Emporium Thai Cuisine, Cashew Chicken, Pad Thai, and Pad Se Ew. They didn't send the Pad Se Ew, but a second order of Pad Tahi. Not only that, the Pad Thai was fairly flavorless and the spring rolls were also bland. At least the Cashew Chicken was ok. The menu was promptly placed in the shredder.
Long time customer - Simply the best!!!!!!!!! – I've tried almost all dishes at Emporium Thai Cuisine and I have to say that they have the best Thai food in Town. I've tried pretty much almost all Thai restaurant s in Westwood area and in Los Angeles. I must say Emporium got the best of Thai!!. I also called for delivered every so often and very satisfied with their service and respond. I feel some other review was a bit too strong. You cannot get stomach sick right away when you eat the first bite. Usually it takes at least 3-5 hours for food to react. I've never had this problem with Emporium and will still try their food on a weekly basis. For those who like curry. Try "Southern Curry Chicken". It basically true as they menu said "You won't it anywhere else. If you go for dine in, you will see the friendliest smiles and best service from their staff. Highly recommended.!!
BEWARE!!! – My fiancee and I had an awful experience with ordering take-out from this restaurant. We've ordered from Emporium Thai on Westwood boulevard twice, the first time we ordered a pad see ew and spring rolls; the pad see ew was ok, but the spring rolls were quite bland. Our second take-out order consisted of chicken curry and an order of the california rolls. As another reviewer already stated on this site regarding this restaurant, it is probably not a good idea to order sushi rolls from a thai restaurant (unfortunately we read that review after being completely dissatisfied), but if a restaurant offers an item on their menu, it seems reasonable that it should be at least palatable. My fiancee bit into a california roll and immediately became sick to the stomach and up came the food. Then we noticed the putrid smell -- the rolls had gone bad! I called the store immediately to have them address the situation, I was told that since we had already "eaten" the food (she had taken one bite mind you), that no refund could be issued. Of course, I objected to this, and after multiple conversations with the manager, she told me to "hold please" put the phone down, and then hung up on me five minutes later. I called back and she finally agreed to have the driver come out and pick up the food and give me a refund (only after I threatened to bring down the putrid rolls and return them in front of her store of customers). The driver never came; I waited an hour and called the store. I was told by the same manager that they were very busy and he would be here soon. Hmmm, somehow I think not. Needless to say we will never eat there again, and I encourage anyone to stay very far away, unless you want an upset stomach to have an excuse to get out of work the next day.
