Located in an offbeat section of Long Beach, this charming Vietnamese café lies behind the facade of an enormous strip center. Floor-to-ceiling aluminum windows and a single commercial door open to a bright and airy dining room lined with a long banquette and blonde-wood tables. Polished-concrete floors and large portraits of Vietnamese streetscapes lend a loft-like feel to the space. The staff is available to explain specialty dishes like pho, egg rolls wrapped in rice paper, and selections of more Westernized salads.

This is one of Long Beach's best kept secrets. And for good reason. The menu at this little Vietnamese restaurant isn't extensive, and every dish is wonderful. Exceptionally high recommendations for their shaken filet, their wonderful bowls of steaming pho soup, and their delicious charred pork and lemongrass spring rolls. Prices are very reasonable and the service is friendly. Watch out for a wait on the weekends, though, but it goes quickly.

This is a great hidden gem!! It's located in the corner of a strip mall in Los Alamitos, but you won't be disappointed once you step inside. It's a very minimalistic atmosphere and not that big. Make sure if you're there during peak dining hours to prepare for a wait. The food will make that wait worth it. It's so good!!! Their Filet & Potatoes is awesome and their Pho always gets great reviews. The staff is very nice also. The price is average, but the food is worth it.
