Nice breakfast, So-So Lunches – I really like this place for breakfast. They're egg dishes are delicious. Yummy frittatas and not all of them feature cheese, which is good. I like the salads as well. Gelato is good, too and they will give you samples. Lots of celebs hang out around here. Not as wild about their lunch sandwiches. I think they are too pricey for what you get. It's mostly hard bread and not a lot of meat inside They seem to have WiFi there because people are always on their computers. Free magazines too and TV screens. Cute place.
Mold on Cupcakes! – Just bought 10 of their cupcakes; 5 chocolate cupcakes were fine, 5 red velvet cupcakes all had green mold at the bottom.
Horrible Service! – Poor Customer Service & Even WorseTake Out
I live in the Hills right above Sunset Plaza and have tried several times to order a healthy breakfast to go. They have had numerous mistakes even putting strawberries in egg whites and numerous other disastrus things when I ordered to go. They do not have good customer service and I am done with this place. Save your time and $!!!
tastey selections & nice environment – Grilled Chicken pesto panini and a cold strawberry lemonade! order this and you can thank me later :) panini is a good portion and comes with a salad too. Tastey, good amount, decent price for food you get i guess..
Whatever – I orded, an exotic tea, a chocolate cupcake, teriyaki chicken bowl, and an orange juice. Total price $30. Way over priced. The food was ok at best. Orange juice was very good, but for $6.00 it should be, which by the way I bought because I wanted to know what a $6.00 orange juice taste like, like I said it was good but not for $6.00. The cupcake was dry, and just ok, i have no ideal how much I paid for the cupcake and I don't want to know for it may really piss me off . The tea, was none eventful, drink the free water, which by the way comes in a 4oz cup, as if they are trying to discourage the free water, because it will take at least 15 minutes to order another water, in which time a person will die of thirst. The chicken teriyaki bowl, with veggies again did not know the price of this item, but what ever the cost and I am sure it was ridiculous was not worth the price.
The best part of the meal was the vibe, everybody was beautiful and sexy for no reason. And it made me feel kinda of cool to be there, not that I need it but, nonetheless I felt extra cool. Maybe it was the beautiful people or the fact I could over pay for food, that was marginal at best. One last thing, as I said the food was just ok, and I was starving!. So if want to go to a daytime club with ok food than this is the place for you, but if you want a great dinning experience with food that is really good than this is not the place for you.
A Prime Spot for Caffe Primo – The patio of this coffeehouse/restaurant is always packed regardless of the time of the day. Ironically located on the fast-paced Sunset strip, at Primo they actually encourage you to take your time while eating and drinking at a leisurely pace. This place draws in everyone from big name celebrities to wannabe Hollywood power players douchely typing away on their computers. In addition to coffee, they also serve gelatos, paninis, salads, and other Italian inspired foods.
Bad bad bad service...bad. – Just try to call Primo to place a to-go order...they don't answer their phone. Everything takes WAY too long to prepare and isn't really worth the wait. I'm hating on Primo - it's still ringing and I've had time to sign up for City Search to leave this review and they still haven't answered.
/if you're starving and got money to burn... – So maybe you do accept and therefore expect to overpay for everything on Sunset Strip, but for as much as that should be true, it's no excuse for the flavor-free pre-turd fodder disguised as fancy food at Caffe Primo.
Oh sure, the menu items sound nice enough but don't be fooled -- it's a crime for any restaurant to charge these prices and be yet bested by Subway for half the loot.
Save your money, time and taste buds -- Caffe Primo is good to pass.
Sunset's bustling indoor/outdoor cafe offers salads & celebs – If the hulking signage of "The Sunset" complex doesn't catch your eye, then the umbrella-lined outdoor patio jammed with muscle-bound dudes (no doubt from Equinox next door), shade-wearing industry types, cell phone-toting waifs and ubiquitous celebrities certainly will. Inside, aside from the walk-up counter, it's much calmer with chocolate-colored leather couches, bistro tables and a horseshoe-shaped bar. The diverse menu, located on the wide chalkboard above the ordering counter, covers all three meals, with options ranging from omelets and crepes to salads, paninis, sandwiches and pizza. There's also a glass display case that holds just about every sugary temptation imaginable, from cupcakes, cookies and croissants to wild berry cheesecake, tiramisu, mini pies and an entire section devoted to gelato and all-fruit sorbettos.
Great coffee.. & overpriced food – Excellent coffee... but overpriced everything. SNOBBY SERVICE. Very SCENEY crowd..... people who want to see & be seen... They'll milk their one cup of coffee for hours at a table.. & hide behind their Macs.. just to get a view of a local celeb... So Wannabe!!
Good food... good desserts.. great coffee.. but so overpriced & they never thank for gratuity.
