If the hulking signage of "The Sunset" complex doesn't catch your eye, then the umbrella-lined outdoor patio jammed with muscle-bound dudes (no doubt from Equinox next door), shade-wearing industry types and cell phone-toting waifs certainly will. Inside, the scene--aside from the walk-up counter--is much calmer, with chocolate-colored leather couches, bistro tables and a horseshoe-shaped bar. The diverse menu, located on the wide chalkboard above the ordering counter, covers all three meals, with options ranging from omelets and crepes to salads, paninis, sandwiches and pizza. Great coffee.. & overpriced food
by foody555
Excellent coffee... but overpriced everything. SNOBBY SERVICE. Very SCENEY crowd..... people who want to see & be seen... They'll milk their one cup of coffee for hours at a table.. & hide behind their Macs.. just to get a view of a local celeb... So Wannabe!!
Good food... good desserts.. great coffee.. but so overpriced & they never thank for gratuity.
- Pros: tastey
- Cons: overpriced, snobby! service.
AMAZING chocolate chip cookies
by jenheidir
This cafe with an open-air dining room and charming patio right along Sunset Blvd possibly has the best chocolate chip cookies I?ve ever had: huge in size, tantalizingly moist and loaded with chocolately goodness. They cost around $2.50, but the taste makes them totally worth the splurge. I?m really eager to find the time to actually sit down and sample the crepes, salads, sandwiches or gelato there. See if the rest of the food is on par with those fantastic cookies!
Awful Service. Dirty Coffee Cup.
by shanner126
I ordered a cup of coffee and noticed there's a giant lip mark on my coffee cup. I requested for a new cup, and the server's attitude totally turned me off! He didn't apologize for this gross coffee cup, nor said anything while giving me the "clean" cup. He just seemed impatient and very unfriendly. I'll never go there again.
- Pros: Outdoor dinging and ambience
- Cons: Overpriced and AWFUL service
