What People Are Saying About Caffe Primo

If the hulking signage of "The Sunset" complex doesn't catch your eye, then the umbrella-lined outdoor patio jammed with muscle-bound dudes (no doubt from Equinox next door), shade-wearing industry types, cell phone-toting waifs and ubiquitous celebrities certainly will. Inside, aside from the walk-up counter, it's much calmer with chocolate-colored leather couches, bistro tables and a horseshoe-shaped bar. The diverse menu, located on the wide chalkboard above the ordering counter, covers all three meals, with options ranging from omelets and crepes to salads, paninis, sandwiches and pizza.…

Editor's Tips

Parking:
A large subterranean structure is located behind the restaurant on Alta Loma Road. You can take the escalator up.
When to Go:
If you're short on time, avoid the frazzled lunch hour rush.
On the Menu:
If you have a sweet tooth, be sure to try the array of house-made gelatos--owner Tony Riviera claims to be the only gelato master on the West Coast.

  1. With their extended hours (7am-11pm M-Th, 7am-Midnight Fri, 8am-Midnight Sat, 8am - 11pm Sun) this is the perfect place for a quick, fresh, well-thought-out, healthier alternative to everything from breakfast to late-night munchies!
  2. The salads, pizza and sandwiches are all delicious.
  3. My office is nearby so we often pick up sandwiches for lunch - the tuna arichoke is a great sandwich, as is the tortilla soup but it will destroy your arteries it is too rich.
  4. It comes with a salad, and I usually hate salad, but their mixed greens salad was so good and not overly drenched with dressing as most salads are, so I was actually able to eat all of it.
  5. The prices reasonable and I hope they improve on the food especially the crepes.

Mold on Cupcakes!

by VL57

Just bought 10 of their cupcakes; 5 chocolate cupcakes were fine, 5 red velvet cupcakes all had green mold at the bottom.

Disgusting!

Poor Customer Service & Even WorseTake Out

I live in the Hills right above Sunset Plaza and have tried several times to order a healthy breakfast to go. They have had numerous mistakes even putting strawberries in egg whites and numerous other disastrus things when I ordered to go. They do not have good customer service and I am done with this place. Save your time and $!!!

Whatever

by carlnevermind

I orded, an exotic tea, a chocolate cupcake, teriyaki chicken bowl, and an orange juice. Total price $30. Way over priced. The food was ok at best. Orange juice was very good, but for $6.00 it should be, which by the way I bought because I wanted to know what a $6.00 orange juice taste like, like I said it was good but not for $6.00. The cupcake was dry, and just ok, i have no ideal how much I paid for the cupcake and I don't want to know for it may really piss me off . The tea, was none eventful, drink the free water, which by the way comes in a 4oz cup, as if they are trying to discourage the free water, because it will take at least 15 minutes to order another water, in which time a person will die of thirst. The chicken teriyaki bowl, with veggies again did not know the price of this item, but what ever the cost and I am sure it was ridiculous was not worth the price.

The best part of the meal was the vibe, everybody was beautiful and sexy for no reason. And it made me feel kinda of cool to be there, not that I need it but, nonetheless I felt extra cool. Maybe it was the beautiful people or the fact I could over pay for food, that was marginal at best. One last thing, as I said the food was just ok, and I was starving!. So if want to go to a daytime club with ok food than this is the place for you, but if you want a great dinning experience with food that is really good than this is not the place for you.
