Let go and Let Paul.... If you go to Fur you will undeniably get to the point where you just say, 'Paul, do what should be done.. give me what i should i have'. It's the wonderful place where my cuts/colors exist. The shop and the art installations are awesome. The place is unpretentious and hip in a so-not-what's-become-a-hipster way. I've even brought three 'no one touches my hair but my girl/guy "insert name" back home... it's half the reason i go home for the holidays' girlfriends here and they have all been amazed and SO comfortable... (yes, even the crier) Still workin on getting the girlfriend in here but she WILL see the light one day. haha. I'm actually writing this right now because I didn't make an appt. and needed to get the number off the net for my new phone, haha. It's a Sunday but maybe they can squeeze me in before I work. Hope you try Fur.. and I dont know whats up with those two weird reviews... honestly it mustve been bad luck/karma or maybe something personal;? anyways trust. love. GO.

HAPPY I CHANGED TO FUR!!!!. I had been with my old salon/stylist for the past 3 years and was very happy. So, reluctantly, I tired FUR based on word of mouth and reviews I read on this site and others. I was amazed!!! I booked with Paul and found, finally, someone who not only understood exactly what I was looking for but was able to implement it as well. This was truly the best haircut I ever had!!!

While there I noticed that most of the calls for appointments coming in seemed to be for Paul, so I made sure to book way in advance for my next haircut and am going to see if I can't get a standing monthly appointment.

STRONGLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Don't waste your time or money at Fur. This place is an absolute joke! The first time I went, I had my hair cut by Jill. It was mediocre at best. So the next time I needed a hair cut, I returned but scheduled with Paul based off the reviews on this site. I showed up for my scheduled appointment only to be told by the receptionist that she canceled my appointment by mistake. This was incredibly annoying for obvious reasons. I asked for anyone else there to cut my hair and she had to call Paul who later showed up about 15 minutes later. There were no big apologies, nothing from the salon. My hair cut should have been free but instead I was the one who thought mistakes happen so I let it go, got my haircut and tried not to be too annoyed. The last and final time I went for an appointment, I showed up and the same moronic receptionist as last time tells me that my appointment was canceled and that she called and told me already. This was absolute horseshit, no one called me and this is insane that 2 out of my 3 appointments there were canceled without me ever being informed. Please don't make the same mistake I did when I went to Fur on good faith. If your appointment actually happens and isn't cancelled with out you being told ahead of time by the absolute idiots that work there, then at best you will be left with a very mediocre hair cut for $50. In LA, this is a joke. I will never return to Fur and hope that you don't either. THESE PEOPLE ARE RUDE IDIOTS!

FANTASTIC HAIRCUT!. Got a fantastic haircut here from Jill! She really listened to what I wanted and gave me a better haircut than I ever imagined. Used to go a much more expensive place in Beverly Hills. No longer! Cool place. Great ambience. Go, go, go!

Rose and Paul are amazing!!!. I've had cuts by both Rose and Paul and they were both great. They always get the look exactly like I want it. You are in great hands with either one of them!

POOR customer service. I was so excited to try a new place, close to home and from what I had heard, having great prices. The first time I went, they had double booked me, so I had to reschedule and come another day. I totally overlooked this...I knew they had recently opened and figured it was an oversight and was to be expected with a newly running place. The 2nd and 3rd time I waited a 1/2 hour for Rose. I waited patiently each time and actually liked my haircut...however my 3rd and final visit confirmed that I would never return. Not only did I wait a 1/2 hour to be seen, but when the next appointment came, I was rushed out of the chair with a half done blowdry, my hair left damp and frizzy and the color was not what I had asked for. Considering that I too was a customer I expected a little more quality care. Clearly, I should have booked Paul from the start. Such a disappointment.

exactly what i was looking for. used to go to Rudy's, never again!

Found what I was looking for - Ben Davis is my new hair guy! Inexpensive, friendly, easy to make an appt and no bulls***t. For those of us who are over the scene and want a great cut at a price you can't beat. I'm a Fur man now!

plus, so cool that they have parking.

great haircut. my friend went to fur and got the cutest cut so i followed suit and i am so happy i did, i love my new hair and the cost was unbeatable

FURtastic!. We love fur!

The staff is super friendly (Paul's awesome!) and the haircuts always come out they way we ask. The vibe is hip and the cool art is a good focal point for good conversation during your cut. You also can't beat the patio. If you are just along for the ride it's a nice place for a smoke, small talk, and the latest gossip rag. Oh and drinks too!

This is the best salon in town!

Best Salon in LA.. Being somewhat of a hair connoisseur, I was so excited to find Fur. It has a very soothing and hip atmosphere, and a friendly environment. The prices are affordable and the cuts and color are amazing! I got my hair cut by Jill who really listened to what i wanted, so I got exactly that! I would highly recomend this salon to men and women.
