Fine Dining. I've been here many times and its always been a good choice.

Delicious food. Seasonal menus. Great vegitarian options. A little on the pricey side. The atmosphere is a little upscale, makes me want to wear a jacket, but its still relaxed enough to speak freely.

Its the kind of place I would go when I want to make a good first impression and get to know them.

Great Date Night. My wife works in the area so I met her for our regularly scheduled date night dinner Friday and Truxton's was packed. Service was surprisingly fast and their seasonal menu rocked. We were shocked to find a gluten free pizza and one that tastes better than most regular crusts. Our server told us we could substitute this crust on any of their pizzas even though the menu didn't list it. Turns out that sharing the tomatoe basil bisque, cambozola and fig pizza, rotisserie prime rib (Fri/Sat special) and Big O cookie made for a great family style dinner (oh, plus her Sweeteani and my Margatini). Normally we try a new place each Friday but we're going back tonight for their July winetasting with another couple.

Worst in Los Angeles. I have been living in LA for 8 years, I eat out a lot and this is the worst restaurant I have ever been too in LA, I don't even have to think about it. This was a Friday night, all of the other restaurants around it were full and this place had 3 customers, I should have taken the hint I guess but I was hungry. I ordered a Portabella burger and a Pizza for my friend. The bread on the burger was stale and get this, my $9.75 burger arrived at my table without any meat (yes without meat), I spoke to the waitress and she said I needed to order the meat separately, wow. Anyhow, when the meat came out, it was tasteless and the salad in the burger was far from fresh. I got the impression that the burger came to them pre wrapped and they heated it up after it had been in their freezer for some time. The Pizza was very ordinary, just tasteless cheese on stale bread and a little pepperoni, nothing like a Pizza at all. I summary, it is as a nice looking place with horrible food.

Poor service. I'm a first time reviewer and I had to review because of the other positive reviews here. I'm usually pretty easily pleased as long as I can get a cheeseburger at a restaurant, so I was surprised to find this restaurant to be very subpar. We waited 30 minutes to get our meals as people that came in after us were eating and finishing before us. Waiters are out in the open taking small breaks in an open dining area rather than in the break area, and this is the first thing you see when you walk in. After commenting on the wait time to our waiter, he explained to us that this was the normal wait time. If that's true, it's clear they are going to have trouble.

Great food, friendly atmosphere. Truxton's specializes in classic American-style dishes that taste great and are served in huge portions. The waiters are friendly and courteous, the atmosphere is inviting, and overall, the experience was great. I've been a couple times, and enjoy the chicken fried steak with sweet-potato fries.

Best New Affordable Restaurant in Los Angeles. Just found this restaurant after a recommendation from a fellow co-worker. This has become my family new favorite restaurant. Located in Westchester about a few blocks from the Airport this hard to find restaurant is a must go to. The food and service are excellent with a diverse menu that everyone can enjoy. Was just told this week they are planning on opening several new stores throurgt the La area. Don't usually spend the time to write up reviews but they were worht the effort. Cheers

good eating. My sister in law recommended Truxtons , so my family and I decided to try it Friday night. We arrived around 6:15pm and were seated within 20 minutes. The atmosphere was friendly and the food smelled great. The wait staff and hosetess were very professional and kind. I had the yummy and large Gilly burger with garlic fries. Hubby had the Portland burger (he was very pleased.) my 10 yearold had the All American burger with sweetpotato fries. The service was fast and efficient . WE also had empanadas for for appetizersvery good. We will go again, hopefully to the Sunday brunch!

Great Variety. Our family loves this new addition to the neighborhood. A great restaurant within walking distance from home. The service has always been excellent, and the food has been superb every time we've been there. The menu has great variety for those that like fish, beef, or chicken. The choice of draugh beers is also very adequate. My wife loves the specialty martinis served at the bar. We keep returning a lot more often.
