delicious cheeses, delicious vegetables, friendly waitermanager, good wine, delicious glass, excellent high quality savory food, fantastic view
Sapori for fabulous italian food!.
We took the water bus over to Fisherman's Village to eat here and loved it! The atmosphere is very nice with great water views. They have a great wine list (we went with a chianti).
We loved out appetizers: I had mussels and my husband had the special of burrata cheese with prosciutto and rocket. for my main course I had Jumbo prawns served with grilled veggies, greens and roasted tomatoes. My husband had the chicken stuffed with artichokes, spinach and mozzarella and wrapped in prosciutto, served with mashed potatoes stuffed into a yellow bell pepper and grilled. seriously delish. we both enjoyed our desserts as well (Affogato al caffe and Tiramisu).
My new favorite Italian restaurant in Westside.
My husband and I randomly chose this place from Fodor's guide, and we were pleasantly surprised.
It's a quiet intimate atmosphere, unlike the crowds and lines at C&O, which is what we wanted for a romantic night out. We were happy with everything that we ordered- from the mixed appetizer plate of delicious cheeses, tomato bruschetta and 4 different kinds of olives to the rosemary-infused sea bass special which was baked to perfection and dressed and plated tableside with a side of delicious vegetables.
We ordered red wines by the glass- both delicious. For a moderate price, we got excellent service, high quality savory food and a fantastic view to boot. I don't know about the other reviews with bad service- our waiter took a lot of time to explain things and was attentive. We will be back!
close to New York. I used to live in Brooklyn and sometimes crave Italian. But the real thing! Antipasta, good wine, great service. The owner greets you at the door and works as hard as anyone else. If you've ever lived in NY and want to eat Italian in LA, go there. You will thoroughly enjoy it ! I will revisit this one over and over.
Editorial Review. Waterfront eatery offers indoor and al fresco dining with a menu that includes fillet of sole and four-cheese sauce gnocchi.
Bad service; average food. My friend and I went for lunch and we had a coupon from the Argonaut. The waiter/manager was friendly until we gave him our coupon when we ordered. From then on, we were ignored and the manager treated us with distain. We didn't understand why the restaurant would put ad/coupon in the paper if they don't want customers to use it. The food was quite average, and with the service we got, we won't be back.
Romantic, Tastey and Downright Classic. I went here with my girlfriend once just for dinner and all we could talk about is how it would be great to go there with our mens! It's very cozy and pretty and the service was terrific. Great wines!
