In Short – Ghosts of Frank Sinatra, Gregory Peck and Julia Phillips may still be lingering over the legendary old Le Dome space, but they're making room for the modern Hollywood elite who now fill their reupholstered VIP booths. The name stands for Bistro Laurent Tourondel, not the sandwich, and it's a sister spot of the chef's acclaimed New York flagship. A crush of young Armani-clad agents, "ER" heartthrobs and pop star wannabes punctuate the caramel-toned banquettes and Macassar ebony tables, but the bustling see-and-be-seen lounge at the entrance and long raw bar showcases a lot more…

Nice Ambiance - Weak Service

by TPerkins

The place is nice, food is good but service needs help! I was there with three of my friends for dinner. We all loved the food but felt uncomfortable sitting there long because some of the employees kept staring at us - including the gentleman wearing a suit (maybe the manager?! Not sure) that marched in front of our table every couple of minutes smiling at us. Not sure I will be back!

  • Pros: Nice Ambiance - Good food
  • Cons: Service - employees

Deelicious and wonderful staff!

by loose54

Went there recently and I thought it was amazing. It was pricey however you do get lots of little goodies from the chef along the way - chicken liver pate(superb), popovers (cheesy yorkshire puddings), and the most amazing molten chocolate cookie/brownie things PLUS you get a goody bag of cakes to take home with you! I had the 8oz filet which was cooked to perfection and the veg sides, although pricey were yummy. To start I may add I had the pea soup which was so flavoursome and came with bits of bacon ahh was sooo good. Everyone raved about their meal esp the halibut poached in olive oil which was a special.

Recommend it highly, especially for a special occasion and the waiting staff were all lovely.

  • Pros: Pea soup divine
  • Cons: bit pricey but worth it.

2nd visit...

by lenielle

Much improved. Went to BLT last Saturday night. I had a previous visit over the summer, with a so-so experience. My husband and I decided to try it again. Not in the mood for steak, I opted for the veal chop. It was delicious. My husband had the Ribeye, cooked to perfection. We had root vegetables and creamed spinach both seasoned perfectly. The made-to-order doughnuts were so good, we would come back just for them!

  • Pros: food
  • Cons: traffic on sunset
