Fantastic neighborhood wine shop and wine bar

A friend of mine recommended that I check out Rosso Wine Shop and I am glad I did. They have a great selection of hard-to-find and boutique wines from Italy, France and Spain. Of course there are some nice domestic choices too but their forte is imports. They have a charming wine bar where, on weekends, they taste wines in flights of three for $10 and they often pair up with the bistro next door for food and wine events. The owner is very knowledgable and clearly has the passion for both wine and food. They are located in north Glendale, just a little south of Montrose, making this wine shop a hidden gem for the east side food and wine crowd. And getting there by the 2 freeway is a breeze. Try it you'll like it.

Look Good:
In addition to the regular tastings, the owner also opens a couple different bottles for tasting each day. The shop is located directly next door to the popular local restaurant, Bistro Verdu, which also collaborates on tastings and special wine dinners.

The shop holds ongoing educational wine series classes, with topics like California wine and Wines of Italy.
