Aimed at offering trendy looks at the best price, the store has become a leader in the high-low movement in fashion--high-end designers like Karl Lagerfeld, Viktor & Rolf and Commes de Garcon have all created exclusive (and affordable) collections for the store. Located in the enormous Beverly Center, this location offers a sizable mens section, juniors collection and an array of accessories and lingerie.

Avoid at all costs!

H&M is --where I come from (Germany)--a very common store among youngsters, students and those who need a basic item on the quick. You can compare the popularity of H&M with the American apparel chain Old Navy. The brand has it's extremely densely packed stores all over Germany and is therefore available for everybody. There is no chance to find an unique item (since everybody shops there) and the quality is as low as the prices are--at least in Germany. Be aware of the lack of quality: The rags loose their shape, color and look often already after the first wash. The exception proves the rule.

I wish I lived near one..

..but I don't. So I have to take every opportunity possible to make it to one, whether it be in San Fran, NY, or my most recent visit, LA. I really enjoyed shopping in this large location. I shopped at the time that Madonna had just released her new line..so not impressed with the prices. Although I loved her designs, it sort of rubbed me the wrong way. Isn't H&M ALL ABOUT being affordable yet sassy? Her pieces were wayyy overpriced in my opinion. Some dresses being a couple hundred dollars. Not cool. Nonetheless, I took home the usual bag full of affordable and trendy pieces that I can play with until I'm lucky enough to return =]

Finally!

I have been waiting for this store to open for so long... it does not disappoint, and I am very happy with the enormous pile of sweaters I brought home. Sure, the stuff doesn't last that long, but for the price, something that lasts a season is fine in my book.
- Pros: Cute stuff, great price
- Cons: Quality, this location is a little small...
