Highly recommended for kids with autism. I went here for the first time with my 19 year old severely autistic son who hasn't been able to sit for a haircut in any salon since he was 11 or 12. I've been buzzing his hair at home out of necessity as he wouldn't cooperate with the stylist or even sit in the chair. When I called they told me they could take him right away as they weren't busy. When we got there, I seriously doubted whether they would be able to get him to cooperate and I was right--until my son discovered their collection of DVD's in the back. They have a TV mounted on the wall and Gladys popped in a video and my son was right at home. He then was able to sit, not in the chair, but on a bench. Gladys was very accommodating and even though he got up several times, she was incredibly understanding and patient with him. She gave him an amazing haircut as I stood there in disbelief. It helped also that the salon was uncrowded when we went. This was like a small miracle for my son! I will definitely be back next time.

Carmen is the BEST!. Carmen gave my son his very first hair cut, and he LOVED it! We took a great video but I can't post it here - rest assured, my son had the best time. Carmen was engaging with my son who was grinning and laughing the whole time.

Carmen is the BEST - we can't recommend him enough!

Great Place for a First Haircut. Carmen gave our son his first haircut. He did a superb job engaging our son in the experience and being very patient. Our son did not cry once and was excited about his haircut. We will be back very soon for his second haircut even though we have to travel from West Hills. Carmen is worth it!!!

rock star haircut. got my little guy for the summer and he got off the plane with a chopped up homemade haircut -- they stayed open late for us and did the impossible! Now I have my little rockstar back looking cool!

Really Bad. The place didn't look attractive to start with but since we live just 5 minuts away we have decided to give it a try with our 2 year old. The hair stylist was not Carmen and she wasn't a good one either, it came out all choped up and uneven. Both I and my husband were quite disapointed and upset. It was a very poor judgement on our part, we should've known better. The place was empty although it was weekend. I would not recommend it to anybody

Great hair for kids and adults.. I first met Carmen when he gave my children their first haircuts. My husband called him "the Baby Whisperer" for the way Carmen could take a crying child and distressed parents and make this first experience pleasant and memorable. We kept returning over the years because his children’s cuts were attractive and painless. I later abandoned my more expensive stylists and trusted my own hair to Carmen because he understood the texture and growth patterns of my hair. He always delivered the colors and styles I requested with graciousness and humor. In these tough economic times, his prices are very affordable. His salon is an underappreciated treasure!

A fun place for kids!. I've been coming here for over a year with my son who's now 2. We love Gladys! I highly recommend her! She is very sweet and extremely patient and gentle (my son can get quite upset in the chair sometimes). But she has lots of tips for keeping kids calm during a hair cut. I am very happy with the cut Gladys gives him as well - so cute and stylish!! The place itself is a really fun atmosphere - It's bright, with lots of toys to play with, and they play movies too. We won't go anywhere else!

Great service. Took my son to Carmen's for the first time after reading positive reviews on City Search. Gladys gave my son a great haircut. She was warm and friendly. Will definitely go back.

Wonderful!!!. I took my son here for his 1st hair cut. I was nervous but when I saw how good Carmen was I relaxed. There were no tears, my son was even laughing. What a cool experience.

Really Great with Kids!. I saw this driving by and decided to check it out. My kid loved Carmen, the owner. He gave a great cut and had good prices. Would recommend to friends!
