Tiny Chinese noodle house boasts a flock of loyal customers. In Short
Unassumingly set in the slew of restaurants off Valley blvd, this authentic noodle house easily gets lost among others. Minimal decor makes it far from impressive, but what sets this hole in the wall apart is its busy atmosphere. Diners come from around the San Gabriel Valley for large, piping hot bowls of noodles, an array of dumplings, and their famed beef roll, an onion cake which serves to wrap thin slices of beef and cilantro.

Get the beef roll. Foodies in the know flock to this restaurant to eat the beef roll. It is a tantalizing sandwich made from stuffing a green onion pancake with beef, cilantro, and hoisin sauce and rolling it up into a "wrap". It's OK to take out, but eat there. You might have to deal with waitress who are a bit unfriendly and who don't speak English, but other than that, it is one of the best foods in all of Southern California.

This tiny, casual Chinese spot with its bamboo "paintings" of village scenes and a glass deli case packed with cold tofu, pork and peanut salads fills up at lunch time with local business folks. They crave steamed dumplings and unusual house specialties like the light peanuty, cucumber-topped yellow dan dan noodles and a sweet and sour fried chicken roll drizzled with plum sauce. Special dumplings include pumpkin-shrimp, lamb and wild vegetable.
