awesome mexican food, little interesting luch service, savory orange chicken, amazing flavor, delicious great atmosphere, reasonable price, excellent dish
Just got back from dinner there and my mouth is watering again thinking about the food I had!.
What a find! Second time I went there. First time I had fried calamari followed by sweet and sour chicken.... the calamari was terrific but the sweet and sour chicken tastes more like candy chicken... too much sweet, not enough sour. I really wanted to try more dishes but I was pretty full so I made it a point to bring some friends next time.
So I did. We tried the shrimp rolls, a pinch of salt short of perfection and chicken wings, 7 pieces weren't enough for us three so we ordered another 7... it's that good! Then we shared an orange chicken, kung pao shrimp and galbee. The galbee was your standard korean BBQ short ribs, tastes good as expected, the kung pao shrimp was delicious, really succulent shrimps, but the winner of the night as far as entrees go: the orange chicken, best I've ever had. If there's only one dish you can try and you happen to like orange chicken, you have to do yourself a favor and order it. And the drinks... pretty good selection of fancy drinks. I had the taro milk tea recommended by the owner herself and it was simply delightful.
Great decor, great service, nice ambience, and most importantly, generous portions at reasonable prices!
Best Wings in LA..
First off these wings are melt in your mouth good. The Flavor of the Korean bbq is also amazing!!!
The people that work at LiliYa are always friendly. If you run into Cecil He is the amazing artist that did all the murals in the Restaurant. My new number #1 Restaurant downtown.
A hidden gem in downtown LA. My friends and I checked out this cafe-restaurant a week after it opened... the ambience being really stylish worried me that the food's not gonna live up to it (cause that's how most LA restaurants are =), but this place is serious when it comes to food. Good mix of authentic chinese and fusion dishes on the menu. We had traditional stuff like fried calamari, wings, fried rice etc, and everything was delicious! Great staff & service too. I'm praying for them to keep up the effort. Right now this place is a gem because I don't know anything like that place in that area of town. It'll probably become real popular soon because that neighborhood is blooming.
We Loved it!!!.
My fiancee and I went there on Saturday night.
We loved it!
Not too former, yet we felt fusion style ambience
Everyone there was very friendly. Very clean.
The Food was fantastic! we will definetly go back there for it ^^
Highly recommended!
Great Food and best chicken wings.
We walked in on Sat evening not knowing this place was just opened. It looked so clean and nice we thought the food will be farly expensive but it was reasonable. Most of all, everything was so fresh, eggrolls were supreme and gosh! their orange chicken was so good(not too sweet like most of other chinese place)
and the service was also very good. the upstairs seating was very modern and romantic, felt like we were dining at some hotel lounge. Deifinitely interesting concept overall but I will sure come back for hot wings and their other dishes. Recommended!
