Tips for Liliya China Bistro

This establishment is operated by an extremely dedicated and gifted family, who have been in the business for 30 years. They always produce the freshest, most delicious, varied and made-to-order Chinese/Korean cuisine. Everything is made from scratch, down to the sauces and salad dressing, and natural ingredients and savory soups are two of Liliya's signature features. My favorite is the Teriyaki Chicken Bowl, with less rice and more veggies, although the Orange Chicken and Vegetable Tofu Soup are also unsurpassable.

And they all love it also.Danmm...you gotta try their lliya's Special Shrimp. ummm just thinking about it I want another dish. Lunch time gets busy, make sure to go before noon or after two. Luch service is little interesting you have to order at front and they will take you to the table. Dinner is regular dine in. They also deliver!! Clean and tasty.

Must try Seafood Noodle Platter!!! Best Fried Rice !!!..oh you can't forget Liliya Special Shrimp.. Almost all the dishes are pretty good. I come here for my lucnch break, and it's gets really pack here, so try to go before noon. I always order Lliya Special Shrimp..and IT'S DELICIOUS. One time Icame out to eat for the dinner and I order Seafood Noodle platter...this is something very new, Spicy seafood sauteed with veggie with rice noodle under. EXCELLENT dish.

You just gotta try it out. They also got this service button on table, so press the button when you need something. I thought that was pretty cool.

Pricey but Perfect for non-natives!. It's more authentic than your usual Chinese Fast Food, however, as a Mexican who tells people who rave about King Taco that it's more expensive than it should be, I hear the same thing about this place from my Chinese friends say the same things. But like I tell them, you're willing to pay extra to get real good Mexican Food, as I am willing to pay the extra two or three bucks to get better Chinese Food! It gets redicoulasy packed at lunch hour from all the govt offices downtown, there is no parking. Delivery service is available, just double check your order, they sometimes forget items and have to redeliver. Take the bus! :)

Superb Food and Meticulous Customer Empathy. Awesome food and above average service! I would highly recommend their orange chicken. The decor is up beat! If you want quality food, and willing to spend the money for it; this place rocks! All they need now, is a parking lot. But then again, this is Downtown Los Angeles. You'll always have me as a customer! Thumbs up Liliya China Bistro! You're the bomb!

Not Your Home Style Chinese Restaurant. Quirky, Hip and Urban Gourmet! $$. The food is served Fast, Friendly and Flavorful.

Things I've tried:

Sizzling Rice Soup-I love Sizzling Rice Soup its one of my favorites, snow peas, healthy chunks of chicken, and more in a light, smooth broth that is flavored exactly how I prefer it. Not too salty or bland the side of hot rice is dumped into the soup for a sound that is music to my ears and a treat to my taste buds. Good for cold days alone or sharing as an appetizer before your meal.

Seafood Noodle Soup-Texture of hand-made, soft noodles in a steamy, hot broth, generous amount of clams, squid, shrimp. Soup that serves as a meal.

Pork PotStickers-Can't pull an potstickers out of my mouth. Boiled and pan-fried for a scrumptious texture. The soy dipping sauces with chilis is excellent and I recommendit to spice up your rice or tone down any sweetness in the dishes to give it a rich and spicy flavor.

Orange Chicken-I usually do not eat orange chicken as a rule of thumb. My attitude has been change by LiliYa's Orange Chicken. Lightly breaded juicy tender morsels of chicken glazed with enough sauce to not be too overpowering or too tangy. Slightly sweet and D.E.L.I.C.I.O.U.S!

Kung Pao Chicken- The Kung Pao has more Kung than Pao. If you are looking for a spicy dish I recommend asking for a little more chili in this dish. I am the slave for spice and this dish was a little milder than my taste bud?s desire. I added the chili soy sauce to this dish to give it some more PAO and that did the trick.

Mango Jasmine Hot Tea- Yummy. Ask for it cause it's not on the menu. Something sweet, something soothing, a little refreshing but most of all the flavors blend nicely and it's very calming. I recommend shaking the cup often as it has a tendency to be sweeter toward the bottom of the cup. Maybe adding iced water to the end to chill your taste buds at the end of you dinner.

Other great choices: Szechwan Green Beans, Galbee BBQ and LiliYa's Famous Noodles. What next...?

classic Chinese cuisine at its best. I'm getting to the age where people my own age, 30-ish, are starting to do great things, leaving their personal mark on the world. The owner of Liliya is a super-cool young woman who's had years and years of restaurant experience - and has created a place unlike any other in LA. Infused with an artistic sensibility, the space itself makes for a great dining experience, with sleek furniture, custom wall-art, everything selectively hand-picked, etc. The service is friendly and attentive without being over the top, and the food totally hits the spot. Classic Chinese cuisine at its best. Don't let the modern interior fool you, this place was created and is operated with a lot of heart and soul!

Great Food! Awesome People! Nice Interior!. If you are looking for a new restaurant with mouth melting food, unique & cozy ambience, and reasonable price? Liliya is the place to go. The chef covers from traditional to newly invented fusion style Chinese food and I never went wrong with anything I ordered so far. Try sesame chicken, once you start putting them into your mouth, you can?t stop!! The brilliant paintings of fancy carps on the walls which are actually done by the owners are also very enjoyable. Go today! You?ll love it!
