Tasty burgers cooked to your specified temperature. If you like spice, go for the chipotle ranch and grab extra at the condiments bar, too.

best burger ever!. i really don't think there is any better hamburger in los angeles or maybe even in this country. everything is made right on the spot, the burgers are huge, the fries are delicious. chipotle mayo is my favorite even with fries! they also make their own ketchup. it's super fast, fresh and just perfect!

This place is a Hole in the Wall, literally.. Hole in the Wall Burger Joint is a small burger place hidden behind a donut shop on Santa Monica Blvd.

They have "gourmet burgers" for great prices. The menu is in a Build Your Own Burger style where you can check off what you want on your burger.

I got the Turkey burger with a pretzel bun and chipotle mayo. It was probably one of the tastiest burgers I have ever had.

Everybody should check it out. But beware of parking!

WOW!!!. I went on a suggestion from my co-worker and I'm glad I did. This place is FANTASTIC! "THE" best burger I have ever had... by far.

Quite possibly the best burger in LA. Don't know about the review that mentions an overcooked burger. I've been here a number of times and the default setting is medium rare, which is prefect for me!

I'm addicted to this fantastic half-pound feast. Fresh angus beef, fresh artisan buns (I recommend the honey wheat), homemade toppings (all three types of mayo and the ketchup - oh the ketchup!), and wonderfully crispy fries make this a place to remember.

When you consider the quality of the food and take into mind the much cheaper cost, this place kicks The Counter to the curb!

Overcooked - Not Good. There is nothing "gourmet" about these hamburgers. Not worth the wait. The beef was totally overcooked, there was nothing special about the bun or dressing.

Big burger, not too big on taste. Went there for lunch expecting an extraordinary burger based on the reviews. I wasn't impressed with the taste, though the meat patty was big compared to your regular fast food joints. I ordered mine with their Chipotle Mayo sauce thinking this would stand out and I couldn't even taste it. Everything else is your average tomato/lettuce/cheese...Homemade sweet potato fries were ok...

Best Veggie Burger in LA. We finally decided to try this place after walking by it for a long time. We were very impressed. They have hands down, the best burgers and by far the best veggie burgers I've ever had. Their fries, especially the sweet potatoe fries are delicious. I highly recommend choosing a pretzel bun for your burger. They even have home made ketchup. This is a great place to have lunch, there is a small but well maintained outside area to eat with tables and chairs. With the options you have available to you for your burger, the taste and service, this place makes Father's Office seem suddenly totally not worth it.

Nevermind the panoply of burger joints on the Westside--this "divey" burger joint has The Counter fans in a frenzy.. In Short
The owners behind Dainties Cupcakes and Flatbush & J Gourmey Company have turned in their baking ovens for a grill to serve up what they call the "working man's gourmet burger." The menu is sweet and simple and follows the build-your-own concept. For a little under $8--slightly cheaper than what it costs at competitors around town--diners get half a pound of protein packed inside a bun from Celestino Drago's Dolce Forn bakery in Culver City, plus all the regular trimmings. Burger adventurers will want to try the pretzel bun, and those on some variation of the no-carb diet can get the patty in a bowl. (Though really, what's a burger without the bun?)
