BEWARE!!! These people are swindlers. I pre-paid for a four oil change coupon. I asked for high-mileage oil and came to find out they just put 20w-50 oil instead and charged $13.99. When I called them on it they wanted to argue with me. After a lot of disrespect and dodging the issue on their part they agreed to take care of me on the next visit with true high mileage oil but they still charged me the $13.99. When I returned in three months they played dumb and refused to honor their prior commitment and told me if I wanted true bigh mileage oil I would have to buy it myself because they don't carry any. I did this and provided the filter. When I asked for a credit for the motor oil and filter they didn't have to provide they refused. These people will rip you off argue with you, and send you down the road. The guy told me when I told him I was going to complain to the better business bureau, "I don't care what you do,I'm not scared. Go ahead and do it. I am refusing you as a customer. This is the worst auto shop in LA. AVOID THIS SHOP AND CALL THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU WITH YOUR COMPLAINTS.

Five for Five Star. These guys have been great at Five Star Tires! George Tarakchyan and Mike Bogosyan have always been accomodating and fair, especially, since I have an older car (1999 Ford). At first I thought they only worked on fancy cars, but they have taken my car in over these last few years and repaired various issues. And it is so convenient to my home. I have recommended you to others. Thanks, Five Star Guys, for your reliable service and as long as I still get great service, I will continue to refer people to you!

Best Tires & Prices in Hollywood. I've been going to George Tarakchyan for my mechanical, Tires, and brakes for a few years now. I love their shop, they are so helpful and reliable. Their Prices are great! I have brought my last 2 cars, my girlfriends, my mothers, and my brothers car.

I strongly recommend this site.

AVOID for any major repairs. I have gone to these guys before for minor things like oil changes, and to their credit I will say that they are hustlers and do a good job pleasing customers for those kinda things.

But boy did I make a mistake a few months back when I decided to bring my car in for a more major repair. I had an issue where my brakes weren't properly taking hold right after ignition if the car had been idle for a few days or if the overnight when idle had been significantly colder than usual. I drive a 9 year old Infiniti.

It would have been fine if they had looked at the issue and said "hey, this is a bit over our head, we can't be sure what the problem is". but instead they replaced a major part (master cylendar) at a total cost of around $500. the problem was, this didn't fix the issue. the issue continued to happen, though it was hard to reproduce, because i need my car and can only leave it idle for 48 hours+ so often. Ended up bringing it back to them 3 or 4 times after the issue was supposedly fixed, and going thru a lot of arguing whether the problem existed, leaving it for 2 days, etc. Finally they were able to reproduce it with me there but their excuse was "well, your brake light had been on before and so we fixed another problem by replacing the master cylinder". they flushed the lines or whatever one more time. when i took the car home, in the next week the problem happened again.

To finish a long story, when i took the car to the Infiniti dealer, after just explaining the issue they said "if pushing the brake is hard and doesn't go to the floor, its' the Brake Booster". Sure enough the dealer fixed that and everything has been fine since. So basically i ended up paying 5 star tires $500 extra, plus a lot of hassle back and forth and days without a car, to replace the WRONG part. They didn't really offer a remedy other than, "if you take it to your dealer and they tell you something else is wrong, we can replace that part at cost". no refund for the $500 sunk cost, and why would i go all the way to the dealer who made the RIGHT diagnosis, and then give the business back to these guys who were like a doctor who operated on the wrong limb. DO NOT trust these guys with major stuff, they try hard, but just aren't the right guys, as I learned the hard way.

Best Mechanic and Body Shop!. I dont write reviews, but after the amazing service I recieved at this place...I had to sign up and write this. They have replaced my tired and have done body work on my BMW. I had accident with front and back bumpers. After going to the dealership, I decided to get a quote and look Five Star's work. Mike is awesome...very honest, fair and dependable. I took my car there to get it fixed. When I picked it up it looked like new....they pay close attention to detail and are very, very good at what they do. I am a very happy customer. I will be a repeat customer and refer my friends there to get the same excellent and afforable service. super affordable... I will definitely take my car back and recommend Five Star Tires to my friends.. George is awesome... They really treat their customers well...very affordable, honest and talented with their work. Definitely 5 stars on every account.

Best Mechanic I have found in LA!. I took my Black Nissan Xterra into Five Star Tires this past Saturday before they closed thinking that my car would be ready monday or Tuesday... Sunday morning George Tarakchyan (the manager) called me explaining what needed to be done to the car before even touching it that way we both make the best decision on repairs... I let him take care of it and my was ready within a couple of hours! It was great because he really explained everything wrong with my car and gave me different options on what I could do to fix the problem... And super affordable... I will definitely take my car back and recommend Five Star Tires to my friends.. George is awesome... They really treat their customers fairly :) Definitely 5 stars

Reliable and Fair!. I'm a first time car owner... it's a 1976 that needed to be inspected and worked on before I decided to be it. Mike and the guys at Five Star Tires were very fair and reasonable with me. They explained what needed to be done / what could wait and what everything would cost before they laid a finger on the car.

The prices were great and the service was quick. These guys treat you fairly.

5 Stars for Five Star Tires. True professionals, and incredible customer satisfaction. Mike took my Jeep in @ 8 am. They had an analysis done in about 1/2 hour. Mike pointed out repairs/suggestions (never once being pushy). Went into the main office(very clean). He did a parts and labor breakdown. Said he’d call me if anything else came up and/or just to let me know that things were moving along. He called @ 11:30 am. He said that the parts were ordered and that the price was actually going to be lower due to a part that wouldn’t be needed. Car was ready the next day (as estimated) and my car is running GREAT. Really impressed with their customer satisfaction and I would highly recommend Five Star Tires. It makes me feel really secure that I have a place that I can get professional, honest, and quality service for my car.

Thanks.. I punctured a tire on my 2009 Challenger yesterday at about 5:58pm; I called and asked if they would stay open long enough for me to get there, about a mile away. They agreed and took care of me right away, dismounted the tire, plugged it, remounted and balanced in about 20 minutes for $30.00.

Thanks for taking care of me on short notice.
