Get a stylish cut for a third of the price.. The Scene
A no frills hair salon right in the heart of Westwood Village, expect to see lots of co-eds getting the latest do's in this lively salon. Annie is the shopkeeper, and she has a passion for cutting hair. She knows all the stylish cuts and will give you an entire makeover for a fraction of the price you would pay in Beverly Hills.

The Services
Hair, nails and waxing. You can get your locks cut for a mere $15, or be really bold and try a new hair color for $45. They also do manicures and pedicures, specializing in natural-looking tips. The stylists are fun, friendly and fast. The store stays open late for after-work appointments.

ruined my hair. i don't know how this place got the 9.0 review, but it was my worest hair cut ever. i went there because of the review. when i walked in, there was no one there, i waited 5 mins before one lady came out from the back....i sat down in the chair and she took out a razor and started slicing!! she barely asked what i want!!.. it was done in literally 3 mins... my hair was dry and split like crazy for two weeks after that..

She does okay. Annie is okay, but if you've ever been there, you know what I mean by this... she will talk on the phone while she is cutting your hair! I mean, are you kidding me! If she pays attention to your head, it comes out okay. Just watch out for the phone calls.

User review by wchungms. You have a hit and miss hair cut. Depending if there is a line, you either get a great cut or a snip snip chop cut. So it is I say a 50 - 50 chance. As a guy I would say the price is right but dang it is like going to a casino. You either come out a winner or loser. Besides that it is a nice place and nice person, just chancy

Great bargain. The $10 haircut (long layers in straight hair) was the quickest ever, but really almost the same as the $70 cuts elsewhere. The woman before me got a short flip that was sharp. Matrix (also have Goldwell) highlights (red) in 15 foils about $60- $70. When I pay four times as much other places, I get 3 colors intricated woven- a whole head covered in tinfoil layers. The results are not like when you shell out the major cash, but fine, plenty of compliments. Annie (a tiny Thai woman) was only one doing hair that day, plus one nail tech. The walk in clients kept her moving. My advice, go during the day or early in the week when she can spend more time on you.

Don't waste your time!. I went to Annie's after reading Citysearch's review...what a bad idea! I came in a picture of a very simple haircut...in fact, Annie said that herself. It was suppose to be slightly below shoulder-length with bob-like layers. I ended up looking like a Florence Henderson haircut with a should-length fishtail like flip...the rest of my hair was near my ears. I felt numb and I wanted to leave badly. I told her to cut off the fishtail part, but she made the rest of my hair shorter too. And she decided to charge me more too for the "special" cut. What happened to the "simple" haircut?

Now I usually see young men getting there hair cut there, not young women. She's inexpensive but is a waste of money she's not good enough or friendly enough to make it worth your while.

Best place in Westwood. I don't know what caused the other reviewer to write such a bad review; Annie is the best. She not only gave me a hair color that I loved, but she was also able to fix mistakes made by my ex-colorist. She is sweet, friendly, and knows what will look great. I'd highly recommend her to anyone who wants a great cut, color, and style at very reasonable rates. As an added bonus, Annie validates parking for the garage on Broxton Ave, across from the CA Pizza Kitchen.

hit-and-run haircut. $10 for a haircut is cheap, but you get what you pay for.
