Don't worry about the lines, it's worth it.. If you can't find something to absolutely love here at Porto's, I really don't have much to say to you. Porto's is known for their cakes, but look beyond them and you'll find a myriad of pastries, sandwiches and more.

One of the best, and unassuming items are the cheese rolls. They look like some rejected item on a buffet table but you should really give them a chance. And a dozen for 7.98 ain't bad at all. Really you should get 16 or more as you will find yourself sneaking them away for yourself.

Cheese Rolls. I love the the cheese rolls, wow are they amazing. Even though the lines are always longed to me it's always worth it!

Enpanadas and all!. When I think of Portos I just can’t stop thinking. I recommend EVERYTHING! From the empanadas, the cakes, the pastries everything you need and want, they have. Try the meat and potato balls! I do have to say the wait is looooong but well worth it. Once you get to the front your greeted by very polite people who get you what you want and quick. I recommend you take a friend and have them find a place to sit because that place is packed all day, every day!

great food, great service!. i love this place. the food and service is great here. i absolutely love everything that they have there. i love coming here when i need a lot of finger foods for parties or when i am on the go and i need a quick pick me up. everything is mouth watering and delicious.

Your mouth will water, and you won't know what to eat first!. Porto's has a clean, casual dining environment and although they get crowded that's no reason to leave. They have a coffee bar and so many desserts. You can order birthday or any other occasion cakes, have dinner, and take dessert home. From sandwiches to coffee to their wonderful potato balls they are the best.

Can I take one of everything home?. Every time I go into Porto's there is always a crowd flocking to the delicious food and baked goods. Its a little overwhelming that there are so many items to choose from, you want to take a little bit of everything home. I have had a wonder pastrami sandwich and recently I tried the Mango Cheesecake (yes...Mango!) and the bread pudding. I took the items home and had a crowd of 6 people to get in on the action. It was to die for!! What I really like is that they have open windows behind the counter to see behind into the bakery to see where the magic is made. Porto's never disappoints (how can they with so much to choose from).

Also, they have a great variety of coffee and teas to choose from as well.

Best Bakery in LA Seriously. I believe Portos is the best bakery and cafe in Los Angeles. That doesn't mean that everything there is the best in LA. But the majority of the pastries, cakes, foods, sandwiches are unique, delicious and the quality is consistent even at their busiest times. If I take a Portos cake or pastries anywhere, people are wowed by the uniqueness and the taste of it. They will finish everything from Portos and leave all the other pastries on the table. Besides the staples like brownies, carrot cake, chocolate cake etc. They make the most delicious mouse based pastries and cakes. There are a lot of bakeries in LA, but most of them don't make pastries like this, and if they do it's likely to be $5 a slice, at Portos it's $2-3/slice and no snoty attitude. The sandwiches, the amazing potato balls, the croquettes, all types of filled croissants, muffins, danishes, turnovers, cheese cakes, everything is absolutely delicious. You can grab something blindfolded and bet that you will be happy. Everything is so light and airy, even their chocolate cake which is a goey mess in most bakeries is light as a cloud. People leave this place with not just a box of something but whole bags with 4-5 boxes. I take so much stuff at one time that sometimes the employees forget to give me everything I ask for if I don't remind them. You could have an entire party directly from Portos and you won't spend an astronomical amount of money on everything. Some commented that it's not sugary and punchy enough. If you want that kind of product that is pumped full of sugar or salt you should go to the Costco bakery and cafe. If you want something that has real time tested flavor and nuance, you should try this place.

Run, don't walk! To PORTOS. Oh man, this place is crowded, but oh is it soooo good. Meat pies could have more meat. I could get really fat going here - I have to limit myself. Prices are great - congratulations on a fine business, portos!

Amazing Dessert. Amazing dessert! The Guava cheese bread pastries and Cheese roll are not to be missed, I love all cake here not too sweet and fresh. The Burbank location is a little more relaxed than the Glendale location.
