At Larchmont Grill, reinvention in dining is our philosophy. From the renovation of a Hollywood Craftsman bungalow into four warm, cozy, American bistro-style dining areas, to the deliciously creative, globally inspired twists our chef puts on classic dishes. Larchmont Grill has reinvented itself under new ownership, while also reinventing the sophisticated, approachable dining experience in Los Angeles. Enjoy delectable, upscale fare from diverse and extensive menus that satisfy a variety of palates and appetites. Wine is a passion at Larchmont Grill and our guests are welcomed ? and encouraged ? to ask lots of questions of our knowledgeable staff. We invite you to come say hello, grab a table by our crackling fireplace, and settle in for a memorable lunch, dinner, or Sunday brunch. -- Sean Bates and Mark Donofrio, Owners

Nestled in an old house, sweeping front porch and all, this comfortable neighborhood nook was actually once called The House, when it was run by Chef Scooter Kanfer. In 2007, a pair of longtime friends took over the space, kept the name from the prior owners (which might have been a slight misstep, since it was widely panned under their reign) and created a workable restaurant concept. The menu is solid. Not every dish is a hit (the chicken panini and turkey sandwich are basic middle-of-the-road menu items), but the classic Italian panini offers cold cuts with just enough kick and hot peppers to top it off. A perfectly pan-roasted trout bathes in citrusy lemon caper sauce, complemented by fresh vegetables. The velvety Velveeta-blended mac and cheese is not to be missed--order it as an appetizer to share.

The style of this Craftsman home is relaxed and refreshingly cozy, which makes the service, the wine selection and the food even more appetizing yet unpretentious which isn't and easy thing to pull off in LA. The menu is diverse and delisious. The Tuesday Wine night is great fun and a creative way to try new different wine choices. There isn't much more to say, but I wish they were open on Monday nights.

I thought I had left a review here before, but can't seem to find it now so I will leave another. This place is a special treat for my boyfriend and I. We come here when we want to celebrate, or just to say I love you and you deserve this. We have never not been accommodated, or treated badly, and the waiters and waitresses are superbly knowledgeable and helpful on those nail biting dinner decisions. The owner and manager is very personable and open as is the staff. I look forward to their sincere greetings every time we go there. My boyfriend and I always order their Mac n Cheese, and let me tell you, I am a real critic when it comes to that. It's terrific to say the least. Bland is not a word one can use when describing any of their entrees, believe me, I've been working my way down the menu. Their chicken dishes are resplendent with flavor, their steaks are juicy and best in choice cuts. They have a Kobe Beef Burger and seasoned fries to die for. If you're looking for a Salad, Pasta, of Vegetarian fare, they've covered you there as well. Their vegetables are crisp and not smothered in butter, which I appreciate. Everything is fresh, (I don't know if they shop local, but it wouldn't surprise me). Another tip, don't sleep on their wine menu. They've got some excellent choices to offer. In closing I cannot speak highly enough of this cozy, refined, and elegant establishment. I heard a rumor they were considering booths -- please don't. You're perfect just the way you are. :)
