great place, great atmosphere, nice crowd, snugly setting, fun bar, like mellow bars, great music
Good atmosphere, nice crowd, significantly arranged. It is a cozy place for laid-back lounging and soaking up the hipster vibe. A romantic and snugly setting is maintained with candles attached to dark wooden walls, large wooden chandeliers (looking like animal horns) decorated with small light bulbs dangling from the top and many tiny lightings--resembling stars--twinkling down from the ceiling. Large polished and glossed tree trunks represent tables and stools. It is definitely a one-of-a-kind interior design and a sight to see. A mixed crowd chatters vibrantly to the sounds of a Jukebox. On some nights a DJ spins mixed sounds.
The perfect mid week bar!. Went here last Wednsday and had a blast with the girls. Bar was crowded enough that we had a good time but mellow enough that we could easily find seating. Im curious how packed it must get on the weekends, but for a midweek spot, this is the best! Bartenders were super cool, and the juke box let me pick the soundtrack to my night. I tried the woods mint julep, and while it was a big strong for my taste, fit perfectly with the woodland theme. A must for anyone who needing a mid week nightcap.
Great Spot!!. Had a party there and it was great. They were very accomidating and nice. The music was great, the drinks were strong and everyone had a great time. If you like mellow bars with a cool crowd this is the place for you!
Citysearch Editorial Review. After a full-blown facelift from the Vintage Bar Group (the Well, NoBar), the once kitchy Lava Lounge was transformed into a classy, wooded watering hole. Aromas of fresh lumber linger throughout the small space, where massive tree-trunk tables, cedar walls and a birch branch-lined bar warrant the name. A fiber optic ceiling captures the twinkling night sky and elk horn chandeliers suspend magnificently beneath. With Johnny Cash on the jukebox and a lengthy whiskey list, the scene is decidedly more casual-wilderness than Hollywood chic.
