Editorial Review for Villa de Buena Vista – by Tara de Lis
In Short
Designed like an Italian villa, with handcrafted wood throughout, a gourmet kitchen and gorgeous terraces, this warm, private home caters to couples and small wedding parties. In the main house, an elaborate entertainment room features a 70-inch big screen TV, leather loungers and a regulation-size billiards table. There's also one upstairs room for guests. Outside, two more rooms feature private entrances, balconies and easy access to the signature spot of the property: a raised hot tub, firepit and small pool that seemingly spills into infinity.

I'm sad to say my stay at the Villa de Buena Vista was the wort vacation of my adult life. The problem is not with the site, the view or the local area. These actually were wonderful and I would highly recommend visiting Paso Robles and the Central Coast of California. The problem with the Villa de Buena Vista, you see, is the management. After paying an exorbitant price for a bed & breakfast, we found that the rooms were not clean, there were no towels available, no key to the room was provided, and when we had questions or needed assistance we received neither. It seems that the management of this facility operate as a husband and wife team, with the wife serving as the manager of the B&B and breakfast cook. The breakfast on both mornings was substandard and was nothing close to the wonderful spread that was advertised. We had arrived late on Friday night and had a full day of sightseeing on Saturday, so I inquired abot a late checkout on Sunday, only to be met with a lecture. "This is our home and we require our private time," we were told in a harsh voice. A simple no would have sufficed but I was left standing there feeling like a scolded child after a simple question. My advice: find another local B&B to stay at and have a nice time. If you do stay at the Villa de Buena Vista, bring your own shampoo, conditioner, and towels, and for goodness sake don't ask for anything or you will pay the price.
Pros: The view is quie nice
Cons: The management

We were greeted by Charlie and Patti and they were glad to see us, they treated us like family, The room was excellent and everything that came with it. They were always so helpful with finding things to do and recommendtions. Breakfast was so good and relaxing that we didnt have care in the world. Its a great to go and just relax
