Editorial Review for Blind Tiger – by Katie Heffernan
In Short
There's not a spec of sawdust or a creak in the floorboards, but at this well-loved beer bar, it sure feels like there should be. Wood from a 19th century farmhouse was used for the ceiling beams, flooring and counter--all the better to soak up the suds from 28 colorful taps and two casks--and a large brick fireplace warms one side of the room. Along with the microbrews, a food menu is pored over by old friends of the original location and new inductees.

Insider Tips
Food ServedUse your brew to wash down sharable snacks like cheese plates or bigger bites including a pulled chicken sandwich and old school sourdough grilled cheese.
Know Before You GoThe impeccable draught list includes Dogfish Head, Heavy Weight and Southampton brews; there are dozens of bottles (including vintage beers) as well. Wine and coffee round out the beverages.
The ExtrasOne unobtrusive TV hangs in one corner of the bar--great for the solo regulars who've just stopped by for a pint.

I usuallly come to the Blind Tiger (BT's as those in "the" know call it) on a Monday night, to enjoy the delicious array of beers, ales, pilsners and stouts, to quietly ponder the trails and twibulations of the day gone by and to work on my novel. NOT LAST NIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!111111111111 No, because some loud people were laughing and having fun, and whooping and hollering. The blind tiger, in my mind is a designated quiet zone on Monday. If you want to laugh loudly, go to Duplex next door, but don't come to BT's on a mnoday night!!!!!!!!!!!1111111111 Harrumphh!
Pros: beers/ales/stouts/pilsners
Cons: loud laughter

I went there last night; the bartender is a complete idiot. He came over to our table of 8, and told us "it was a Monday night in a bar" and that the volume of our laughter was too much for him. Seriously, is this a Library, we went to a bar to have a great time. No screaming or anything ridiculous. Then he tried to pick up a glass and threaten me with it, I laughed at him. I guess they employ thugs. I would recommend, but anyplace that the staff threatens bodily harm I would not. Great beer, poor manners by the staff. Also, this is the season opener for Monday night football, they do not anticipate a bit of noise???
Pros: Cold Beer
Cons: Rude Staff
