Cool Steelers Bar, Bad Service. Was on vacation from Western PA, so I was glad to find such a cool Steeler bar to watch the game at. The food was pretty good, but the service pretty much sucked. I'm waiting for another beer, and the bartender is text messaging on a cell phone. 10 minutes to get a beer is not acceptable!

Great Service. Steel Pit is a place to go and have a great time on a Friday or Saturday nights. Not only is this a home town bar but also a great place to watch the games on the weekends. If you need a place to unwind after a hard day at work then Steel Pit is for you. Food is terrific and the service is friendly. I like that I can bring my children there and not worry about them getting bored or not having enough food to eat. The menu has a great selection for all tastes.

WOW!!!!!!!!!. I am from the Hancock Park area and was visiting a friend in Pasadena for the weekend along with my husband and kids. One afternoon my husband wanted to catch a game and enjoy a couple cold beers so he started searching for a sports bar in the area. Usually, sports bars are 21 and over and since we had the kids he suggested that I stay in...I DON?T THINK SO!! I searched for something that had a little bit of everything and found a bar in Tujunga called Steel Pit. I?ve been an LA native for over 20 years now and had never heard of this place and must say, quite wary of the neighborhood but decided to give it a shot. I?m sure glad we did! They truly had something for everyone. My kids had an assortment of games to play while my husband drank his beer out of frozen schooners as he said ?I have never had a colder beer in my life?. I personally loved the menu, they had everything!! I asked our waitress what was good and she recommended the Empanadas (an Argentinean snack that the owners wife makes fresh from scratch) WOW!! They were like something I?ve never had before?it was like a meat pie but with a lighter puff pastry crust and scrumptious marinated meat served with a special dipping sauce of olive oil, garlic and special spices. YUMMY!! You couldn?t beat the price either: 2 pies for under $4 and they paired perfectly with a glass of wine. One other thing that is worth mentioning are the restrooms, they had exceptionally clean restrooms?A+ all the way! I just wish I lived closer so I can enjoy their establishment more often. STEEL PIT: A DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH?

Now called "Damm Leo's". Damm Leo's is a great sports bar. You got pool tables, ice hockey, video games and lots of tv's.

It's a local type of place, where everyone knows everyone. The bartenders are nice and will remember what your regular is once you become a regular. Outside smoking section and a lot of sports talk. Certain nights they have pool league which might make it more crowed than other nights to get on the pool table. The food is (surprising) really good.

Great place all around.
