very good mediterranean food, fun place, love corkage, not expensive delicious, good chicken, not so great decor, good portions
Good gracious, one of my favorite restaurants for dinner in the Hollywood area. The service is friendly and warm and the food is stellar. Get the fattoush salad (maybe the best I've had EVER!), the hummus w/Armenian sausage and the lamb.
Authentic Armenian home-cooking served up in a humble Hollywood strip mall..
Tucked inside Hye Plaza in the heart of Little Armenia is this modest gem where in-the-know chowhounds go for Middle Eastern comfort food. While the decor is a mere afterthought--pale pink walls, faded seat covers and '80s era black lacquer chairs--the food is anything but. Families, foodies and locals flock here knowing that inside the compact kitchen is an Armenian grandmother dutifully crafting old country dishes like yogurt-covered beef kebabs, dolmas (grape leaves) and the addictively spicy-sweet muhammara, the restaurant's secret weapon made from crushed walnuts, red peppers and pomegranate.
Very Nice Place - Great Food and Entertainment. This place is fun to go. The food is very generous and good. The entertainment is fun. You can sit and enjoy your dinner and watch others dancing or when the Belly Dancers start performinng. The service is great. here is a flat charge- which includes a wonderful Armenian Style dinner - where everything is on the table with good portions or you can order from the menu. We really enjoyed the place and the price is great in comparison to other restaurants with entertainment.
YUM. Delicious, tasty food that is not expensive. Yes, the decor is not so great (not a place to impress a date), but the food is awesome. No corkage fee either :) Love, love it. We love to go with friends & order many of the appetiser dishes to share. Wish I was there right now....
Very good Mediterranean food. While searching through BYOB restaurants, I spotted this place on Citysearch. Checked it out and wasn't too impressed by the strip mall location, but we've all been to gems in unexpected places before. Sure enough, the food here was great! Fresh pita, good chicken, great hummus. Definitely worth visiting if you live nearby. Haven't been to the one in Glendale (which I assume has better decor) but this is a good place to eat.
