Dr. Marc Golub, D.C. Chiropractor

Possibly decent but wasn't impressed

I am a relatively healthy person in my mid-twenties but nonetheless have been experiencing back pain for a few years, exacerbated by my job. I went to Dr. Golub based on the recommendations on this site, but I have to admit that I was not impressed and will not be returning.

The good: There is free parking in the back. It was easy to make an appointment. Dr. Golub is sees patients on Saturday, which is great for those of us that work during the rest of the week. The appointment started on time (one of the good things of being the first appointment of the day).

The bad: I felt that Dr. Golub did not take me/my appointment seriously. Based on the fact the first question he asked was whether or not I'd be willing to make the drive to see him regularly (since I don't live in Santa Monica), he seemed more concerned in finding regular patients. While I understand that distance is a legitimate concern, I was surprised that this was his first concern before finding out what problems I had. During my appointment, he seemed distracted, often stopping to check his Blackberry and did not seem to listen to my answers, giving the same general response regardless of whether I answered in the positive or negative. Additionally, the lotion he used seemed rather unhygienic given that came in a large unlabeled tub in which he would dip his hands.

All in all, Dr. Golub may be a good chiropractor, but I wouldn't have guessed by my visit. I'll be looking for a chiropractor elsewhere.

SPORTS FITNESS & REHABILITATION

This an unsolicited indictment. I have been around the Santa Monica and LA for 69 years. After returning from the Military in July of 1965. I was a member of the L A Sheriff's Dept. and received the "Award for Valor", I played beach Volleyball at the SM pier for 25 years and have been sober for 23 years. My name is Bob my handle "Sheriff-Hollywood-Clearwater and Computer.

I have received chiropractic care for 35 years. Joe Gould my beach volleyball partner first sent me in the early 70's.

Dr Golub and the Spine Force have given me a far greater pain free way of life.

Best Chiropractor!!

Dr. Marc Golub is a skilled professional who knows the body well and is capable of providing the chiropractic treatment to relieve the most severe pain and suffering. I've seen first-hand the results of his work and often it has been amazing. Dr. Golub is thoughtful, kind, and deeply caring. I greatly appreciate his healing expertise!

Best Chiropractic you can find.

Dr. Mark Golub is an exceptional professional. I was always afraid of Chiropractic until he explained his approach-- which is to use the integratioin of movement, and gentle manipulation to help you achieve balance in your body. Dr. G. treats the whole organism, skeletal, musculature ,and nervous system; it's all natural, painless, and most important-- it works! I haven't had any lower back pain in over 9 months. And he gave me the tools to keep it away for good. Still it's nice to know he's there if and when I might need a tune-up. Thank you!

Great Chiropractor

I consider Marc Golub to be "a chiropractor's chiropractor." If you just want your back cracked, find someone else. If you're looking for a health care professional who makes every effort to incorporate your lifestyle into his methodology, Dr. Golub is for you. He leads the way in cutting-edge technology with his Spine Force and related treatment. But don't let the fancy machines fool you. Dr. Golub's strenght is in his bedside manner. He asks questions -- lots of them -- before working his magic. I saw Dr. Golub for treatment of my ankle that I sprained playing basketball. After only one treatment and some simple home exercises he showed me, I was back on the court in just two days. For me, at age 43, that's a small miracle. If you care about your body and who treats it, Dr. Golub is your chiropractor.
