Love Sushi Fukyo & Mas!. I love that when I don't know what I want, I'm offered something new to try. It is extremely yummy and I would go back again and again. I can't wait to try the oysters next! This is place to for sushi. My whole family loves this place!

OUR FAVORITE SUSHI IN TOWN!!!. As usual the food is always worth the wait. Prices are fair and the fish is great every time.

Mas accommodates all tastes and he is open to all requests.

We love to hang at Fukyo, it kinda reminds us of a Sushi version of 'Cheers'.

Satisfied. After reading all the negative reviews, I was a bit leery, but decided to give it a try because a friend offered to take me out. I lived 31 years in Japan, so I feel I know my sushi, and was pleasently surprised that Fukyo is up to standard. Sushi tends to be way overpriced in L.A. and I thought the prices were reasonable here. I am not a roll expert, but they were tasty, although a bit heavy on the sauce. There is a spinich and lobster dish that was awesome...a must try with a hot bowl of rice. Next time, I want to sit at the bar to socialize with the chef. He looks like an interesting guy. It did seem that the wait for the food was fairly long. The people at the table next to us came in after we did, but were already eating and were getting ready to leave just as we got our food.

Sushi in Sherman Oaks. The sushi at Fukyo is awesome. If you like Katsuya or Iroha you'll like Fukyo. They offer the traditional items and some classic with a twist. As well as some unique items. The fish is fresh and the dishes are always good. Try it you won't be dissapointed.

My favorite Sushi Treat. As a resident of Sherman Oaks for over 25 years, I have seen many sushi place come and go... even in this EXACT location. NOTHING is as delicious and fun as Fukyo. The owner, Mas is entertaining and fun to socializa with as well. They can custom make rolls for you and even answer questions as to how cooked item are prepared. I LOVE THIS PLACE!

TO: All of my friends from F-U,... I miss u! Love, Michelle. Based on my experience at FU, to patronize this sushi bar again, is out of the question. The owner has an inflated ego about his abilities and the quality of his sushi.

The best sushi in town is Iroha on Ventura Blvd. just west of Coldwater Cyn. on the north side of the street. You get better quality for less money and service is fast and efficient at Iroha.

Good Luck!

Not so good; slow service; food questionable. Not a good experience. Incredibly long wait, food's not great. If you want to be able to order your dinner, then have time to go home, shower and dress and still get back before the food arrives, go. Otherwise, skip. Cranky owner rarely smiles.

Slow sushi bar service, fish not fresh.....try Tomo's in Northridge instead. Besides the service being unbelievably slow, despite an empty restaurant, the sushi is not fresh. The only endearing part about our dinner here was the blonde manager, which, from my understanding, is no longer there. We will NOT be going back. In the mood for good sushi, try Tomo's in Northridge at Devonshire and Reseda instead.....fresh fish, fast service and good prices!
