Ok, I give my dentist 5 stars. I HATE dentists... (ok, I should take better care of my teeth) but it's never a good time for me when I end up at the dentist. I was working in Texas last week and started to get a bad feeling in my rear tooth, when I woke up each morning it would be throbbing.. now to make matters worse, my old dentist (who retired) had mentioned that I might need a root canal at some point in the near future...that was last year. I dreaded going to the dentist but I started getting pain all day.. so I asked a few friends, called a few dentists and in the end, I felt just like throwing a dart at a board to pick a doctor. Here is the good news, my friend at the gym (of all places) pulled up Yelp on his computer (he works at 24 hour) .. he gave me the dentist his professor at USC goes to... I called the office and booked an appointment. So I arrive at the office and everything was moving like clockwork. I filled out all the paperwork and then I made my way into the chair. Apparently (from what the doctor showed me) I was a little overdue for a root canal.. like WAY overdue. The dentist gave me a rundown of what was happening in my mouth, why I was feeling pain and the showed me!!! Holly crap technology is cool... I proceded to have a root canal done. I have never had a root canal before, but from what I am told this is what the doctor is known for.. I was pretty worried... I always hear people talking about problems with root canals.... The doctor described to me the procedure and before I knew it, it was done... very honestly, I almost fell asleep. I was waiting for the pain and gushing blood and the world ending.. .nothing, I was done and it didn't hurt. The doctor took another x-ray and I have to say - it looked like a work of art... (not that I know what I am looking at..but it looked cool to me) So from what I know now, this is what the doctor does.. I guess if you need a root canal guy - this would be the man! I got a recommendation for a general dentist now, I will let you know how it goes...
