Tucked inside the Sawtelle Place strip mall, a glass storefront leads to a simple, gray-hued interior where servers decked in chef hats dole out sweet treats to eager patrons. Customers watch while sous chefs use a manual device to squirt freshly made cream custard into puff shells topped with sprinkled sugar. Additional confections include cheese cake stick, double chocolate eclair and chocolate fondant.
REVIEW FROM CITYSEARCH's 3BUCKBITES DICTATOR
by KRamos
Frozen-section mini cream puffs are no match for this cream puff heaven, crammed among Sawtelle Boulevard's Asian foods. Think: a light and flaky puff pastry baked in-house, then filled upon ordering with fresh, rich, all-natural custard and whipped cream in the flavor of your choice, and dusted with chocolate, powdered sugar, or other tasty toppings. The three flavors of the day rotate between chocolate, vanilla, green tea, strawberry, coffee, and earl grey tea. At only $1.95 for a yummy cream puff the size of your fist, you can justify trying all three flavors to meet the $5 minimum for credit cards.

If you don't like really sweet cream puffs, this is the place for you. They have their standard flavors and then their specials. Some of their specials, well, they should stick to their standard ones. I do like their chocolate, but enough with the powdered sugar. I keep telling them that I don't want it and sometimes I get it with, one reason why they don't get 5 stars from me. Hey Owners, what's up with the uniforms? I know that you're trying to be French looking, but come on...
- Pros: Good Cream Puff

All they?re puffed up to be

I never liked cream puffs until Beard Papa?s changed my mind. I had their chocolate as well as their traditional vanilla flavors. The cream was the perfect texture, and the pastry puff was deliciously flakey. I am now a cream puff convert!
