A little den of relaxation

After moving to LA last year and going through the dreaded hair dresser search, I found this incredibly warm and inviting place with an ocean view. The staff is so friendly, and in a very genuine way, not like some of the salons in the area that make you feel like you should be grateful they're taking you as a client. I always feel so relaxed when I'm there, and it's no wonder with the calming ocean decor and the warm breeze coming in from the deck. Sara has done my hair every time I've been there, and I really like her ability to understand exactly what I want and add her own style, especially with my color. The facial I had there was also really nice, with a longer than usual head & neck massage. This place is the way to go if you're anywhere near the west side. Parking can be an issue, but I recommend finding an unmetered spot up in the residential area, the walk is a nice one and you won't need to feed the meter.

Aqua Salon is the best hair salon in the southbay

Aqua Salon is just heaven. Where else can you get a haircut and color, a chair massage, buy makeup all while overlooking beautiful Manhattan Beach? The staff is just great and incredibly talented. Kathy the owner, is one of the best hair cutters you can find in So. California and the other stylist are wonderful. You don't get stuck waiting because they all chip in when needed. The space is so pretty and has just a great vibe. And, you can even have lunch on the balcony while your waiting for your color to finish! They really pay attention to the small details at this salon which make your experience all positive.

cutting edge and fun!

I loved the vibe I got from this salon!! They are an upscale, exclusive salon without the high-end attitude. I live at the beach because I love the lifestyle and I don't want to put on a pretense to get my hair styled! Everyone was warm, worked as a team and therefore I felt comfortable and relaxed.
