considerably less price, great care, reasonable payment options, big trouble, great nononsense approach, great rabbits, great dr sullivan
Dr Sullivan is great !!!. The best impression of a vet in the South bay. That is Dr Sullivan. He took great care of our very sick dog, performed immediatelly a successful operation, and had a great no-nonsense approach, did not haggle about high fees and charges, presented us with reasonable payment options and also they are open 7 days a week!!! The receptionists and assistants seem a bit overworked and always busy, so be patient, and if there is a major issue or a problem, ask to talk to Dr Sullivan.
Great for Spaying and Neutering Rabbits. After receiving an outrageous quote to spay and neuter two rabbits from a vet on the Westside, I brought them to Bay Cities on a recommendation from a local rescue organization. The vet took the time to explain the procedure and how he was going to care for the rabbits both before and after the surgery. They even made a point to keep the rabbits in a different room then the dogs to prevent stress. The price was reasonable and considerably less than the other vet.
This guy couldn't care less. This place is a factory that processes cheap vet visits. Diagnosis takes as much time and generates as much confidence as tossing a coin. It's like triage, minus any need for being so sloppy. You can let Dobratz know you aren't on a budget, but that won't matter. You and your animal will get no service in any case. You won't be ripped off for much money, but your animal doesn't have much chance of an appropriate treatment, either.
Not rescue friendly.
I made a reservation for a rescue dog for a day boarding for a weekday, I talked to someone there she asked any questions and said I could bring my rescue dog for the day.
I arrived there at 7am, when they opened and when I was leaving the dog they told me they couldn't receive the dog because he was not in my house for at least the last 2 weeks. I told them that he was fostered for the last 4 weeks by another family and that he was healthy but even then they didn't receive it for boarding. On a weekday 3rd of july and needing to work right away I was in a big trouble, after and hour a friend of mine kindly accepted to take him to her work during the day, she saved my day but I was lucky, I wouldn't trust them again even though they are the closest to home.
I would not recommend them as a boarding facility because of this incident
