In Short – The kitschy Polynesian home of the infamous scorpion bowl moved poolside at the Beverly Hilton hotel back in 2007, and its legion of loyal tiki-philes, along with the newly curious, followed suit. Folks can still find tiki touches with the Tahitian sculpture and vintage canoes, but the look has evolved into a more tropical-modern territory, with leather banquettes and chunky wooden bar tables flowing onto the poolside patios umbrellas and cabanas. Late in the week, DJs spins under the stars, surf movies project on the walls and the mix of hotel guests and 30-somethings…
the Aloha Spirit

Took my mom and had a wonderful time. Mom bought a Chi Chi glass and got a menu. The drinks were fantastic and the food, Crab Rangoon and Pupu platter, the best. Only problem was the pricey bill at the end. 4 drinks and two dishes, with tip a C note gone. Outside of that, when I win the lotto I will surely be back.
- Pros: Example: best croissants in town
- Cons: What are the drawbacks?
Fun Atmosphere & Great Food

Went with a group of friends and we ordered several dishes and they were all very good. Favorites were the chicken skewers and potstickers. The drinks were good to. I felt the deserts were bland but who goes to Trader Vics for deserts. Very fun sitting out by the pool.
- Pros: Tropical Atmosphere & Food
- Cons: Deserts
Cool Pool Side Lounge
by llyonize at Citysearch
This is a great spot to hang out with friends or coworkers for drinks in the evening. During the summer its nice to be by the pool side. I almost actually felt like I was in Hawaii. We ordered tons of appetizers, my favorite was the sushi, and tons of drinks too ;). Great Mojitos! The staff was super attentive and friendly. I will be back. And parking is only $5 bucks when validated.
- Pros: sushi, staff, mojitos
