SPEECHLESS!!!!!!. As someone who experiences the spa quite often I can say there is no place like this in Los Angeles. Non-pretension amazing staff and one of the greatest gems this city has seen in a while. I started with a Hammam soak followed by a thai massage given by Angela (One of my new favorite massage therapists). The owners have taken the time to really make an oasis. The price was also fair @ 75.00 for the massage which I can say will keep me coming back often. if you have given up on looking for a great spa in L.A. (eg. Argyle or Kinara) try this space and it will renew your faith that this town still has a soul!!!!!!!!!!!!!

best new spa ever. I went to El Leon for the first time and was super impressed and so excited to have a spa like this in my area. The owners were warm and welcoming and there was no snobby spa vibe at all. In fact, it was so unlike your typical spa, it was quite refreshing. I did the Turkish soak which was relaxing but next time I will have to try it with the scrub - I think thats the way to go. I followed the soak with the Ayurvedic facial which was amazing. the facial was done to my "dosha" type and I will definitely be getting one again. The thai massage was good, although much pricier than I am used to - highlight though was the herbal ball compress that you can add on to the massage - I haven't seen them outside of Thailand and it was a nice add on. I will definitely be back, esp for the facial. Oh! the decor is amazing and unique. They did a great job.

I felt like I was on a vacation. A really relaxing one. In another country.. I went to El Leon for the first time the week it opened, and I was beyond impressed. The staff was super friendly and highly professional, and my therapist really took her time with me. They weren't rushing me out the door to tend to their next appointment. Despite the fact that El Leon is located off of busy Beverly Boulevard, I felt a million miles away - the lighting, the atmosphere, and decor really transports you. It was warm and quiet. So comfortable. I got the Turkish soak/scrub/massage, and I felt like a different person afterwards. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a genuine experience with the best of the best Thai massage therapists and/or who thinks Burke Williams is a little generic, a little sterile, and not a little bit meat-markety. Oh, and the prices here can't be beat, especially considering the prowess of the therapists, the quality of the treatments, and the amount of time they spend with you. I recommended this place to a friend and she agreed that it was a transformative experience that was well beyond its dollar value.

Exotic body treatments and seven types of massage deliver mind-body-soul balance in Mid-City West.. In Short
Exposed beamed ceilings, curtained-off futons and a tiled Turkish tub room highlight this tranquil, candlelit enclave. Kink-obliterating treatments include traditional Thai massage (tack on a heated herbal ball compress for $15,) Hawaiian hot stone-and Lomi Lomi rubdowns, and stress-reducing Reiki massage. Organic Ayurveda facials, reflexology, and cleansing soaks and scrubs in a clawfoot tub filled with an ancient mixture of plant extracts and herbs round out the eclectic treatment menu.

Good massage!. Convenient location and much more beautiful on the inside than the exterior. Good massage and warm tranquil atmosphere.
