not recommend glow, enjoy great outdoors, loved place, enjoy house music, really nice decor, good drinks, very nice staff
Nice place. super nice SPACE. great place near the marina. no cover. Service is very ordinary.
STAY AWAY.
We went to Glow on a casual Friday evening. There is no free parking in the area so you may as well valet,
You will be forced to wear a ridiculous wristband, but other than that the place isn't that bad at all. There is a DJ who plays good tunes from the early 90s. The drinks are good, the waitstaff is good, and the place is refreshingly unpretentious.
BUT THEN IT GOES CRAZY LIKE FROM DUSK TIL DAWN.
Glow has a lot to offer.
Glow rocks! This place is outdoors first off, how many places do you get to enjoy the great outdoors? The ambiance and decor is amazing and it is low drama with no attitude.
The staff is very nice and security is professional as well.
Finally where else can you enjoy House music all night long?! The Dj's bring it with some great music - love it.
DO NOT DO BOTTLE SERVICE HERE. Glow Lounge is horrible. DO NOT do bottle service at this place. Robin O?Berry the bottle service host is a disaster. My party arrived to the venue on time for bottle service. We waited outside the club for 30 minutes. Then when I got to the front of the line I was told I was late and they gave my table away. On top of that Robin had the nerve to charge me a cancellation fee for being late. I was only late because they could not run the line. DO NOT GO. There are much better spots for bottle service.
Was once great but now a wanna be!.
Loved this place when it first opened. Great outside lounge vibe with fireplaces, candles and smooth international grooves playing in the background. It felt like your rich friends backyard party.
Things have since changed! I went there last week and all the booths - which MADE the place and accounts for the majority of seating at this venue- were "reserved" which then left very little to no seating in this lounge bar- totally counterintuitive. They were "reserved" for those few that wanted to pay a $250 minimum bottle charge. Come on! It's the Marina Marriott not the Ritz Carlton or Viceroy for crying out loud.
Nice Decor, Terrible Service, Expensive Drinks. I was excited to find a new lounge on the west side, but Glow is not that great. The atmosphere and decor are really nice (except for the fact that the cushions kept coming off the couches) but the service was horrible. We waited an average of 20 minutes for our menus, each time we ordered drinks, and our bill. On top of that, Glow was filled with too many people throwing up in the bathroom from too many over-priced cocktails ($14). I may try it in the afternoon or before the night crowd comes in, but I would not recommend Glow at night -- unless you're looking for a Hollywood club on the westside.
Mellow hotel lounge makes for a sensual blend of low-key and luxurious..
In Short
Annexed to the sumptuous lobby of the Marina del Rey Marriott, this lounge houses a intimate mix of the local club crowd, South Bay socialites and relaxing hotel guests. Low-slung couches and modest club music add to the intimacy, while lush foliage and a roaring fire infuse the air with exoticism. Bar snacks include truffle potato chips, bourbon-flamed chicen drumettes and crab cake sliders. Drink offerings run the gamut from fanciful cocktails to a lengthy, well-detailed wine list cater to the diverse crowd.
