BAD BBQ, WORSE SERVICE.. BAD BBQ, WORSE SERVICE. Called in order so we would not have to stand in line. We got there and the line to order was out the door, are food was ready and we where told to stand in the order line to pay for are food. 20 minuets later we get are now cold food to take home. After being reassured that are order is complete we get home to only half are food. Cold greasy fries, dry pork, over cooked Kobe burger. Run from this place as fast as you can!

Worst BBQ I've ever had in my life!. My bf and I went to this place the other day and paid $30 for a "platter" which was pretty much a tiny overcooked chicken piece and hard as rock 3 ribs ( literally I couldn't bite into them at all, couldn't even cut them with a knife) and he ordered beef ribs on the side (it ended up being 4.) I literally felt like they robbed me. It was hardly even edible. I was so upset that I had waisted my money on this fake BBQ place. LA has its rediculously overpriced restaurants that deliver poor food but this one takes the cake! DO NOT GO HERE - IT IS NOT WORTH IT!

Bravo to Joey & Luke but work on the mac!!. This place is in a mall so the parking there is ez! I support this place for many reasons one being our Luke Walton. Plus, he's a UNI grad and knows that Joey is at the top of his bbq game! I've eaten there a few times and the combo is great tasting, very filling and a great deal! Although, the mac & cheese needs some serious work....serious work! Luke...you're my boy and you know your mac needs an assist! Otherwise...keep up the good work and Go Lakers!!

I thought it was excellant!. This place was really good! It's still somewhat new, so it seems as if they are working out the kinks, They also have a very interesting item on the menu "fried pickles" differant! The chicken is the best I have had in SoCal, & the baby back ribs were fallin' off the bone! Its located in the Manhattan Village Mall Parking lot in between the theatre & Baja Fresh, I don't know why anyone would think that is so obscure!

BBQ???. I stopped by this place w/ my gf. We each had different items. Pulled pork, ribs, and chicken. I should've gotten a burger, since they might've actually been worth it. This is not BBQ people! There is no smoke flavor or smell anywhere around this place, and I've done better ribs and pulled pork on my weber grill. The chicken was dry, no good flavor, and the ribs and pulled pork tasted microwaved.

The staff was bizarre and weird, I wouldn't recommend this place if you want real BBQ. Compare Phillip's, Woody's, Baby Blues, or Robin's... no comparison.

The place is just weird. This place could win a prize for being the most out of place restaurant in the south bay. it's always full of a strange crowd that is totally not Manhattan Beach. The ribs tasted old like the ribs at a cheap state line casino buffet. The staff gave off this vibe of confusion. The guy that was taking my order couldn't even make one recommendation... not one.. really i swear. It just kind of made me crackup, i got my food and ran out of their quick! I probably wont go back. yikes

Slow-cooked ribs are the mainstay at this barbecue joint, where the home colors are definitely purple and gold.. In Short
Laker Luke Walton liked the barbeque at the San Diego location of this mini-chain so much that he decided to open a franchise near his home in Manhattan Beach. The space is small and modestly furnished, consisting of a handful of indoor and outdoor tables tucked in the back of a mall. The restaurant does barbeque Southern-style: slow-cooked and glazed with sweet sauce. Traditional dishes include brisket, baby back ribs and pulled pork, but there's also Kobe-style longhorn ribs and a wagyu "ragin' Cajun" burger.
