AMAZING Spa Experience!!!. My wife and I visited Voda Spa this past weekend while visiting from Portland, OR for her birthday. It had been recommended to us by a friend who lives in LA. I have not spent much time in spas, and wasn't really sure what to expect. Fortunately, I was put at ease immediately. After checking in, staff showed us to our lockers and gave us the low-down. We spent some time in the common pool/hot tub area soaking and making forays into the various steam and dry sauna rooms. There was even a separate TV room for keeping an eye on the football score - a much-appreciated touch. The atmosphere was very casual and relaxed. My wife and I enjoyed the co-ed nature so that we could be together and talk while we soaked. HOWEVER, the most amazing part of the experience was the "Venik and Platza." This is the "massage" performed in a super-hot sauna where you are vigorously massaged (I had imagined getting whipped, that's really not what it is) by branches of various types. You then plunge into a cold pool to finish it off. Relaxing in the warm pool after, the feeling is amazing. The staff came out after and explained the science behind the process - fascinating. Despite the fact that my wife and I were both pretty exhausted going in, we emerged completely re-vitalized. A nice shot of vodka in the bar afterwards (including more TVs with the game on) was just the perfect thing to finish it all off. The entire staff - from the masseuse to the bar tender - were all impeccably professional and friendly. An amazing experience and the highlight of our trip to LA. Highly recommended.…
Best Spa in L.A.. Voda Spa is an amazing experience. My wife and I usually don't do spas much these days, now that we are parents. But, when we need to feel re-energized from working too much or just dealing daily life stresses....we go to Voda Spa. We love to get the "Platza" because it's unique, but especially because we get to hang out with eachother, and my wife loves the poolside mud mask too.…
relaxing. im verry comfortable in this spa, i really like this place. i relax and i feel good while i visit this Voda spa. the service is excellent the crew are friendly.
Wanna get athletes foot? Come to Voda. This place is terrible. They don't clean much, and it is like a revolving door for the therapists. It is owned by people affiliated with criminals and has been sited for prostitution. Not to mention there was a guy there I saw with the worst case of athletes foot I ever saw, and he was wandering around without his slippers. Eeeeeeeeecccccckkk. It used to be a crematorium supposedly and gives me the creeps. Word is among the therapists is to stay away. Run the other direction. I get the heeby jeebies just driving past.…
Martinis + Manis + Movies!. Imagine a place where you can drink unlimited martinis, get a mani, AND watch a movie at the same time. All this is possible at Voda Spa on their martinis, manis, and movies night, which they host every Wednesday. It's a great a way to celebrate a birthday with friends or just have fun after work on a weeknight. The atmosphere is sleek and spacious, yet very cozy. It's not as Zen-like as some other day spas, but it's good for groups. In fact, this place is more of a "night" spa than a "day" spa because it seems to be more fun at night. In addition to martinis, you can also get great spa food. I especially liked their grilled tequila chicken breast panini sandwich. As for the mani, I got my nails done by Jamie, who was very friendly and did an impeccable job. Everyone else at the spa was friendly also. I plan on going back for more martinis, manis, and movies at Voda.…
