I was referred to Dr. Rogers as I was interested in liposuction (enough to give me a little more curve)...To my surprise, he not only recommended liposuction to my entire abdomen, hips, thighs but said I should consider a facelift. (5'7"/ Weigth 140lbs) He said:"you should do a facelift while you are still young. Most people wait till they are in their 60s and they don't get to enjoy it". I was bit shocked and I certainly never thought I needed a facelift at 40. And surely not when people always think I am in my 30s. I inquired further more on why he thought so...and if there was other non surgical alternatives. He said that those Botox, fillers and laser just masked the problems and did not correct "the work of gravity"..."you have to work against gravity...I do facelift differently than everybody else in town...I use almost a vertical technique for the ultimate results"...just like on this video... I left his office a bite perplexed....and decided to seek another opinion ...I was referred to Dr. Brian Novack...who I found out was the best surgeon for facelift...a secret well kept...It was the best $500.00 I ever spent. Dr. Novack not only reassure me that I was not a good candidate for a facelift as it did not have enough skin to pull. He pulled my skin vertically as Dr. Rogers suggested and showed me what I would look like ...a catwomen if I had undergone the so called "vertical lift". I would have been stuck with it for at least 5 years...and certainly I would have looked like Joan Rivers... So I am warning those people out there...Yes, Dr. Rogers may look young and cool...but I don't think that he is concerned about you the patient and your goals but more about selling surgeries you may not need...Do your research...Not all Beverly Hills surgeons are the best...and be careful of those newcomer that promise you the world...If your surgeon seems agressive, he probably will overdo...and it is not reversible. It is always better to be cautious than sorry!
