$4/5/6 roll specials every day. Must try a new menu "shabu shabu"!

Pretty Good. I have had sushi in many different restaurants. But I thought that this place deserves special notice.

The nice thing about their menu is that they have a wide variety of items, even for people who don't particularly like raw fish.

Their spider roll is incredible. I get it every time I go there. I even took my mom here. She's never had sushi before, and she liked the place. I took both my bridesmaids here for lunch, both of which love sushi. And they both said that the fish quality excellent and that the portions are nice for the price.

Unfresh Fish. I should have read the Yelp reviews before going here because somebody said they found a worm in their edamame. I believe it because I had a really bad case of food poysoning within hours after the restaurant. I hope I can save somebody else from getting sick also. Thanks.

Good food. Great happy hour. So-so service.. They need to realize that they would do better by treating their non-chef staff better and keeping one or two bartenders for a long time as folks who chill out at the bar and come for happy hour like to have the same bartender. Lately changing staff too frequently. However, we love their happy hour M-F 4-7pm (see you then and there) and love their sushi. Have not tried entrees yet. Decent cocktails. Lots of variety of sake. Try the specialty sushi rolls (not discounted during happy hour). Love their Spicy Tuna rolls and Seared Tuna Sashimi and Baked Lobster & Maki Rolls. Enjoy!!! :)

HORRIBLE!~. have gone to this place for a year and in the beginning it was great. The sushi IS BAD! REALLY LOW QUALITY FISH! The staff is rude and they don't seem to care. It was a special night tonight for my husband and I so we thought we would try this place one more time. We get there and they gave away our reservation, the girl was snotty and thinking she was so funny made her snide comments and either the manager or the owner just kept saying sorry and did nothing to correct the service. We ended up going to BANZAI in CALABASAS, they had a nice table waiting for us and the sushi is 10 times better and in a nicer location. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AT BISTRO KA THEY SERVE BAD SUSHI!

Citysearch Editorial Review. At this hip little Japanese bistro tucked next to Target, sultry mood lighting makes you forget you're actually in a mall. Sleek dinnerware, black cloth napkins and elegantly presented sushi only add to the stylish experience. Shoppers from Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom join sushi-savvy Valley locals drawn in by sophisticated cocktails and an expansive Japanese menu--definitely eschewing a run of the mill vibe. Starters like albacore tataki, rainbow carpaccio with yuzu and lobster miso soup complement traditonal classics like agedashi tofu and scallop dynamite; creative rolls include the popcorn lobster roll and red rose maki made with spicy tuna, mint and pine nut. Entrees feature baby ribeye with pink peppercorn, sesame chicken and sushi and sashimi specials.

Great Atmosphere with less than desired Service. Went there a few times during lunch (great value). We love the decor of the restaurant; very trendy and upscale. The bento lunch special are a great value; $13 for the three item combo. However, SERVICE needs signficant improvement. The last time we were there, a party of 5, food came out for one of the five of us (and it was all the course, salad, entree and rolls on three separate LARGE plates) without the bowl of rice. I would of expect the salad to be served first, then the entree along with our four bento box orders. I've made complaint to the supervisor, but nothing was done to better the service. I would go there again because the decor/atmosphere and the lunch specials are great value.

If you don't care about service, this is an excellent place to dine (it's comfortable and visually pleasing).

topanga mall's hidden gem. Was at the Topanga Mall doing my holiday shopping and after a few hours of waiting in long lines for so so deals, I got hungry. My girl and made our way to the packed food court and we noticed a sign near the restroom that said Sushi and cocktails. That was just what we needed. The sign said across from Target so we made our way there and tucked in a corner near the parking garage was Bistro Ka. When we first walked in we were greeted by a bartender. Turns out the entrance from inside the mall takes you right into the bar (sweet!). The hostess asked us if wanted to sit at the sushi bar or table but it turned out that there was happy hour in the bar and lounge so thats where we sat. We took a table in the corner of the lounge and it was comfortable and cozy. There was even a lit candle in the middle of our table which was a nice touch. The bartender Johnny is quite a character. He was super friendly and informative and made my girl and I laugh with his comments and jokes. Our food was amazing. We tried the crab cakes which were only $5 bucks for happy hour along with a snowcrab special soy paper roll thing that Johnny recommended...delicious!. My girl had the pomegranate julep which I had the phantom margarita, both were from their specialty cocktail list. After about an hour into our meal and drinks we forgot that we were at the mall shopping as it felt like we were eating sushi in Hollywood. I will def come back to this place and next time I'll probably check out the sushi bar and do sake bombs with the chefs.

Best Sushi place in town!!!. I've been there couple times. And they were great! I love all the rolls they got. My favorite ones are "Oceanite roll and Cucumber tuna maki". They are to die for!!!!! Yummmmm. Also the service was great too. They were very polite and helpful. Can't wait to go back!!!
