happy ending, great bar food, great new bar, very cool fun place, perfect service, cold average food, definitely more mellow drinks
Most weekends you will find this place packed with jersey wearing hardcore sports enthusiasts. The energy is lively, the bar is noisy and the 35 plasma screens play every game their is. Get the s'mores platter, you'll thank me later.
I will recommend this restaurant. This place is good for anyone either with friends or families. I so like their lobster menu. One of this days, i'll be back together with my parents.
Nice.. My favorite dinner here is the pork chop, no matter how the cook it. It changes every month. In the months they don't have the pork chop the pork shoulder is a good consolation.
You Gotta Go!!. “I love this place. I would definitely recommend it to all mature crowds. The Bar is great! The servers are very friendly. There is a BIG college crowd on the weekends and around Basketball and Football season the place is filled with sports fans! The crowd is very upbeat! There is a mix on the weekdays of college students, everyday people, and business people from the local office buildings. The food is great! there is a mixture of everything. From Catfish to Hamburgers! They keep the place very clean and the food once again is just amazing! And drink service is great! I never mind leaving a tip!!”
Wrong place to share a couple of beer.
I'm in holydays and I won't go another time because I didn't see that bar was a racist one.
Excuse my french ear and if you hesitate between two place, choose the other one.
The place was packed with cuties. The moment i walked in here i felt like i was back in college, beer pong going on, pitchers of beer and frat guys everywhere. The place was packed with cuties and i would say the ratio was pretty good. The bartenders serve fast which i liked, got a round of shots for the guys. Upstairs they have beer pong tables and it has a big following.
Ridiculous, stereotyping, racist frat party. This place is run by a racist, pretentious pr*ck. I went last night (sat.) for a friend's birthday party.. My bf was wearing a long sleeve polo collared shirt and fitted jeans with a belt -- and they did not let us in. Mind u we saw several ppl coming in and out with baggier pants than him and even shorts! When we pointed this out the bouncer just shrugged his shoulders and said that he wasn't at the door when they came in. Mind you there is NO DRESS CODE ON THEIR WEBSITE and when u call the # it's just a recording. However the fat disgusting bouncer checking IDs at the door said that my bf looked "unpresentable," right as someone in shorts is walking out and some guy with huge pants is walking in. The army of douch* bag bouncers that post up in front of this sports bar -turned beer pong "night club"- claim that the manager is watching everyone that comes in and gives them a yes or no (racial profiling) they also said that the manager does not come out and talk to anyone (he's a little b*tch, a puss). This place is 90% whites, 5% asian, and 5% other. This place is a ridiculous frat party full of as*holes.
If it was right, I will never go in this kind of sport bar.
Hopefully I'm french and it's impossible to find any place like that where I live.
However, there is a racial discrimination when you don't look like the stereotype. Because in france we have a stereotype when you have money to spend or not in the bar or night club.
Manager is RACIST!!!.
I've been here three times and all three times we've had a friend who hasn't been able to get in because his jeans are "too loose or baggy." Our friends have gone back to change and imagine how degrading this might be for them. They come back the same night, and are told "your look isn't what Happy Endings is going for." Oh and other people are getting in with plaid shirts and cargo shorts.
Yes all three guys were brown! Happy Endings management is as racist as can be.
Oh and might I add the jeans were definitely not loose or baggy, any tighter it would've look wrong.
The service was always nice. During the year (2008, so ya this review is long overdue) I was interning in LA for a small production company I would frequent Happy Ending at least 2 times a week for lunch. It didn't hurt that it was literally across the street from our offices! I was introduced by two other interns that had been there a few months before me and I was pleasantly surprised by the food. At first glance you see a bar but when you read the menu you are greeted by filet mignon sliders, truffle herb fries, beet and goat cheese salad and a grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup combo that will bring a big smile to any nostalgic American that ate them as a kid. The service was always nice and never failed to give me a good laugh with their great humor. Another cool thing, you can play trivia games on the little touch screens on each booth, while you wait for your food. Other than that, they have wheel of fortune which is put into use at night (Tuesdays?), a lobster aquarium, and if you're feeling adventuress you can order yourself a nice refreshing FISH BOWL of your favorite libation. Yes it's an actual fish bowl. I haven't visited for about two years now, hope it hasn't changed too much.
Love this place!. Love this place! It's my Cheers. Bartenders are all pretty cool. Especially Kat! Fish tacos are bomb!
Monday night is Karaoke night and it's one of the best night. Very East Coast/New York setting. Good Nachos and beer! Great fun crowds all the time! Monday night is Karaoke night and it's one of the best nights!
