Poor service / Unnecessary Shaving of your dog. I have taken my dog there several times and had issues each time, once when they clipped her nail to short and had to treat for bleeding [this should NOT happen with a professional groomer] and the most recent visit they shaved my dogs belly down to the skin and all around her rectum - totally unnecessary!! My dogs beautiful white fur gone - it will take months to grow back! I had specifically told the receptionist "NO TRIMMING JUST A BATH AND NAIL CLIP". After several calls to speak with the owner, Santiago the owner finally called and said it is standard procedure for all bath appointments to include a "sanitary clip to avoid infections" but it had never been done before, had never been told it was standard procedure, and my dog was absolutely not in need of such a procedure! He would not admit that the groomer had made a mistake, that the receiptionist had made a mistake and that they were in the wrong to do such a trim.

I will never go back to this establishment. You never know who will work with your dog. It is just to risky!

They are hiding something. we came in to check the place out and the young lady at the front desk explained everything. She told us the small dogs and the big dogs are separate and they are only outside on the ruff pavement a little bit each day. We requested a tour to see where the dogs actually are, we were told we couldnt. We asked several more times and were given different reason's why we couldn't go back and see the area. We left and came up through the alley to see their backyard, and all the dogs started running towards the gate. It was all dog sizes all not supervised by anyone. It took some lady a couple of minutes to come out and see what was happening. So I think that's what they are hiding, all dogs mixed together without any supervision.

Wouldn't Take Gucci Anywhere Else!. I started taking our doggie Gucci in March '09, after we got him from the pound, and we have been going twice a month for grooming, and two weeks ago, we left him there for the weekend. We were extremely nervous about leaving him because while Gucci is a very sweet, loveable dog, he does not like strangers and is always barking and growling at strangers and other dogs. Imagine our relief when we were told that Gucci behaved beautifully that weekend, and made some new friends. As for the grooming, Edson does a wonderful job, using top of the line products. Gucci looks fabulous every time we pick him up, and we get so many compliments. Best of all, Gucci is one very happy doggie after a visit to BSB!

Cruel. They leave your dog in crates for 6 hours.. We took our dogs for grooming. Dropped them off at 11am. Called at 5pm and they hadn't started yet. Dogs had been in a crate for 6 hours. No phone call, to tell us the situation or why the delay. Call would have taken 2 mins. We live 2 blocks away, and would have brought them back. Very selfish on their part. Business comes before dogs, even if they soil themselves in a crate for hours. Be warned. Shady practice, along with a few cuts under the dogs eyes. They started at 5:30pm and over by 5:50pm. It took 20 mins to groom, but 6 hours in a crate. I will tell everyone that this is place is the worst. I insisted on a discount and was denied. Some immature high school girl sits at the front desk. Clueless beyond words. If you don't care about your pet, take them here. They will ignore them for hours, then leave them bleeding.

The groomer nicked my dog all over his back legs :((. I took my dog to Bone Sweet Bone beginning about a month ago, and I loved it. That is until last week....I had my dog boarded for a few days and I also had him groomed that day I picked him up. I noticed a little bit later that he had nicks all over his back legs. I gave Santiago a call the next day when they were open, to make him aware that my dog had suffered several nicks on his back legs from grooming. Through a series of phone calls, nothing was resolved. The groomer and Santiago both denied that the nicks were not a result from his grooming....well they sure as heck weren't there before I dropped him off! I realize mistakes happen and I am understanding of it. Had they realized their mistake and owned up to it, apology would have been accepted and I would not be writing this review. The fact that they are both denying it, only tells me that they are careless liars that don't give a cr*p about my dog's well-being.

Do not take your dog here!! Thanks to Santiago and his crappy groomer that thinks he is too good to own up to his mistakes and lie, my week was ruined. I cannot stand liars, especially when it pertains to my sweet, innocent dog.

Santiago is a dog's best friend. We rescued a puppy from the shelter, and she was a typical puppy - hyper, untrained, etc. We decided to take her to a daycare Mon-Fri, and we came across Bone Sweet Bone, one of the few doggy daycares in Studio City. We are so pleased with the results!!!! When we pick up our puppy, she is tired from playing all day long, and when we get home from a long day at work, we get to relax with our dog. Not to mention, it has been much easier training her because she is tired and actually listens to us. We also groom her at BSB twice a month, and they do an INCREDIBLE job!!! Santiago is the owner of BSB and is absolutely amazing with our dog. Every time we pick her up, he has a story to tell us of the fun adventure our dog had that day. Its obvious that he is very hands-on. And we love his staff too! They are the best! Their love for our dog makes us so comfortable leaving her there for the day. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND BSB! Your dog will love you for it.

BEST PLACE TO TAKE YOUR DOG!. Our dog has been going to Bone Sweet Bone for almost a year. Every Tuesday we take her to their cage-free dog day care. She jumps out of the car and either into Santiago's (the owner) arms.

I am an obsessive-compulsive dog owner and only want the best for my amazing rescue dog! Santiago answers all of my questions, and he even lets me call to check in on her through out the day. Santiago knows everything there is to about dogs and is so helpful if I ever had an issue with my dog!

The place is immaculate and everyone there is so caring! It is so nice to drop my dog off every week knowing that she will be looked after the same way I would look after her.

Best dog groomer EVER. After spending tons of money on getting my bichon-poodle, Emi, and maltese-poodle, Charlie, groomed at places such as Tailwashers and LA Dog Works, I stumbled upon Bone Sweet Bone. They love BSB and do not come out shaking and scratching at me as they have at other places. Santiago is knowledgeable and takes the time to answer my questions, even when he is busy and has other customers in the shop. The "poos" come out looking wonderful, smelling great, and the price is unbelievable. People have stopped me on the street to comment on how the "poos" look and my neighbor also recently started taking her poodle mix to BSB. I've gone to other places that are in the same price range, but the dogs come back looking awful with half done hair cuts or shaved down to nothing. The groomer at BSB does exactly what he is asked to do. I'm not a huge "reviewer" but I wanted to share my love for Bone Sweet Bone with others!

Quality Pet Care with Integrity.. Before showing up to Bone Sweet Bone I had many issues with the local groomers and doggy day care facilities. I had tookin my chihuahua Cash to other facilities in which he would leave the facilities more scroungie than when I brought him in and on top of that he would seem distressed and unhappy. I happened to need a daycare for Cash cause he's exceptionally hyper and I dont like leavin him alone while im at work cause he tears up everything. So I had seen Bone Sweet Bone while driving down Ventura Blvd and I thought the name was catchy so I decided to stop and check it out. Upon arrival I was greeted by who happened to be the owner. He introduced himself as Santiago and although he was busy he answered all my questions and even went out of his way to give me a full tour of his facility and showed me that he keeps records of all his dogs ensuring that they are vaccinated and have the right temperment for daycare. The facility was very clean and there was an indoor are and an outdoor play are for the dogs. Ive been going there since. Santiago is very knowledgeable on dogs and he has been very helpful in advice and answering any question that has arose. I use Bone Sweet Bone primarily for dogy daycare and have only had Cash groomed once (he's a short hair and most maintenance I can do at home) but have been happy with all the services provided. Hes happy and clean as I left him when I pick him up and when I take him home I know he had a good time cause he just eats then crashes out in his bed.
