Bar. This time the bar part. Decent prices, solid menu, good interior. I hope it will turn better or same when I get to food part, if I get a chance.
I love it!. I never had Filipino food before. It was only introduced to me when a Filipino friend invited me here. I didn't know what to expect. I don't have any idea of what it would taste like. I was expecting it to be very spicy like other Asian food. I was so wrong. It was great. My friend ordered a lot, wanting me to taste everything. I loved the paella, it's different from the Spanish paella. It has more flavor. I also loved the fried pork with the special sauce. It was so great. But what surprised me is their halo-halo. It's the best dessert ever. Now, I have another schedule with my friend. He's very excited to bring me again.
So Satisfying!. Its so comforting, warm, and stomach satisfying just like mom/dads home cooking. lol
Great Food.
My sisters and my parents took me, my husband, my brother and his family to Pondahan Restaurant recently. Coming from Chesapeake VA, filipino restaurant are limited, more of a turo-turo. We enjoy the food we ordered, loved the sisig, laing, seafood platter and the barbecue and by the way your Halo-halo was excellent. Friendly atmosphere, service was good. I would recommend it to my friends. This will be my first stop when we come back to West Covina. Thank for the great food...the best.

Best Filipino Food Restaurant in L.A. County. I will never get tired of eating at Pondahan. This is the only Filipino restaurant that I could highly recommend to anyone. The service is great, the food is always fresh, and the ambiance is a far cry from all the other Filipino restaurants I've been to. Finally, a Filipino restaurant with a class! You have to try their kare-kare (this is the best kare-kare I've ever tasted!). My friends love their crispy pata, fried chicken, and even their non-Filipino items in the menu. This is the restaurant where I could take my non-Filipino friends, and not get disappointed. They offer a wide variety of menu, including seafood paella, seafood platter, sandwiches, bicol express, etc. The servers are very friendly, and kudos to the chef!! Compared to other Filipino places that I've been to, I think this is the best and really tops my list. In fact, I don't go to other Filipino restaurants anymore. Pondahan is the only one for me!!!
Great customer service, delicious vegetarian filipino dishes, best seafood kare kare anywhere.
I don't usually like to eat out for filipino since I believe that no one can beat my mother's home-cooked meals. But after eating at Pondahan in West Covina, I have changed my eating habits. Since July, I have returned to Pondahan on numerous occasions. I'd like to recommend the tilapia lunch special.
My favorite dishes are the seafood paella and the seafood kare kare.
They also cook a wicked vegetarian pancit palabok!
What a sweet surprise to find this filipino cafe across from the West Covina mall....After shopping, I stopped by for merienda! A wonderful way to end the day.
This pondahan, or hangout, is a gem in the heart of West Covina.
