good italian food, great service, nice place, reasonable prices, recommend pizza, amazing zach, great sauces
Good food without the pretentious snobbery of many LA restaurants. I have to tell you, I LOVE this place. I'm going to call them for take-out tonight. I'm going to pick up two orders of lasagna, one mushroom and goat cheese and the other just their regular meat and marinara, and I'm going to take them home to my husband, and we're going to pig out until we can't breathe because the food is just so damn good. The dine-in experience is charming and comfortable. When you eat here, oh, and you will...prepare yourself that the hot rolls with garlic and mozzarella are addictive. You will not be able to stop eating them. But please try. Your food is coming, and no one likes a glutton.
cozy, inviting, delectable!.
decided to hang a little low this new year's eve and go to a long, leisurely dinner with friends.
we chose this place somewhat at random. their menu made us salivate.
so glad we did. the rolls are amazing. but so is the food. we all had seafood dishes that dazzled. i highly recommend the seafood linguini. we shared a bottle of wine, drank coffee and ate tiramisu. all were right on point.
by the end of the night we were stuffed and happy and warm. the servers were very friendly and, though i'm sure we kept them longer than they would have preferred on new year's eve, never rushed us. we'll definitely be back!
Great Designer Pizza. Wow! What a great find near Universal Studios. The Pizza and food in general was way above our expectations.
Best Bread!. My friend and I were debating on were to have a late lunch after we went to the theater, Zach's was the choice. We got there about 15 minutes before the opened, but went in an had a drink, and some of their amazing bread, this stuff is so yummy. I ordered the portabella mushroom ravioli with this amazing sauce. so good. Zach in Studio City is really a cute quaint place, I would say its a great date place, good for out door seating when the weather is nice or just a place were some friends can catch up.
Editorial Review. A 1920's home transformed into a charming Valley restaurant with a garden patio and homemade Italian fare.
Great Pizza!. This place has the best pizza in Los Angeles. The pasta dishes, I wasn't too crazy about, but they aren't bad by any means. The dinner rolls (which consist of pizza dough, garlic butter, and Mozzarella cheese) are the best things i have ever eaten in my life! The service is a bit slow at times, but it's a nice place to sit and relax.
How can anyone give Zach's a bad review!. O.k., I did a search for the street address for Zach's and I am truely shocked that someone can give this resturant a bad review! Zachs is, by far, the friendliest restaurant in the greater LA area! The food is superb, portions ample, and the rolls are worth the visit alone. Besides superior food, the atmosphere at Zachs is quite rare for a less-than-open-armed-LA. The charm is its home-like atmosphere. It looks like a house because it was a house, and the dining areas are sectioned into quant rooms, with a great patio space for outdoor dining. I suggest stop reading reviews, call a few friends and try Zachs out for yourself! I am guessing it will become one of your favorites.
best place to relax, great service. I moved from NYC to LA and am so happy that I found Zach's. It has become THE restaurant that feels like "home". The waiters are so personable and friendly. The prices are so resaonable, especially in comparision to similiar restaurants in West Hollywood. They have a wonderful outdoor space, as well as several rooms inside. It's like being in someone's home, very welcoming, and you can actually hear the conversation at your table, even when the place is full, which is frequently is. The food is great. I recommend the delicious soups, pizza, and my favorite, the eggplant sandwich. I'm vegetarian, and have found plenty of options here. If you have any special requests, just ask the waitstaff. If you are looking to have a reasonably prices meal in a lovely relaxed atmosphere, this is your place.
Zachs down home cooking.
We were first introduced to Zachs by the concierge at a local and nearby Hotel were we reside quite often. When we stated we wanted something close, good and not extraordinarily expensive she sated from personal experience Zachs was the place.
After having previously eaten at multiple Beverly Hills restaurants which entailed long drives, traffic and poor service at a premium price for substandard food we gave it a try.
We have been regulars since and enjoy our time with our local friends in an atmosphere that is relaxed and very much Californian with its patio seating while enjoying superb food, excellent service, and all at reasonable prices.
Italian Cuisine Heaven. Not your average Italian restaurant. Great sauces, creative and absolutely delicious pasta dishes. The dinner rolls that are served are remarkable. I have to remind myself not to eat so many because the meal is coming. They are hot, filled with the perfect about of garlic and cheese. No reason to add butter! They have a wide variety of salads that are delightful and there is not one dish that I have had that wasn't fantastic. The staff is incredible, fun and very personable. As a regular I feel like a good friend coming over for dinner. The added plus is that they also deliver. When we have friends come from out of town we take them first to Zach's and now when they come return they always want to go to Zach's!
