Chemist/owner Ray Basa has developed a process to infuse ground coffee with whey protein and anti-oxidants drawn from blueberries, pomegranates, grape seed extract and green tea. The coffee costs slightly more, but there's also a lot more space in the shop to spread out. Customers can sip at the street level bar or in the spacious upstairs lounge, where inviting leather couches and trim wooden chairs make for a stylish, secluded nook.
