Editorial Review for Elevate Lounge – by Martha Burr
In Short
Like a scene out of "Bladerunner," the glittering skyscrapers of downtown create a breathtaking panorama from this 21st floor penthouse. An open-air patio with 150 feet of sliding glass doors surrounds the sleek, sprawling late-night lounge. Mod white couches wind through violet and amber shadows, from the broad dance floor to secluded private nooks and elegant VIP seating. A hip, youthful downtown crowd sips martinis to ambient lounge and dances to club beats into the late hours.

Insider Tips
Know Before You GoThere's no cover, but weekends bring a line. Reserving a VIP booth assures immediate entry; dinner at the annexed Takami restaurant does as well--unless the club is at capacity.
What to DrinkA full bar offers specialty cocktails including tropical Asian-themed drinks like the lychee mojito and the lotus blossom with fresh fruits and juices.
Look GoodClose proximity to Staples and the Music Center make this ideal for a pre-event cocktails or a wild after party.
The ExtrasThe venue offers state of the art audio and visual capabilities for private events.

Loved the place. My girlfriends and I were invited there after the De La Hoya fight. Some of the sponsors had 5 VIP tables booked, so we had free drinks all night!!!! We had a great time! There was a huge group in front, but we had zero issues getting in. The club was packed at the right level (where people weren't stepping on my toes!!!) and the crowd was great. The girls and I are heading back this week!
Pros: Music and scene
Cons: None.

Went to Elevate for the first time and had issues getting in. If it wasn't for one of my friends knowing people there, we probably would not have gotten in. Once we got in, I realized why it is difficult to get in. They have a great crowd and the place is not too big. We have been hanging out in some other places in downtown, but this place has the best crowd by far. I will go back there again.
Pros: Good Crowd and Nice Place
Cons: Door
