Cute and cozy little Venice food stop with pretzel bread sandwiches that'll make anyone ditch their carb-conscious diet!

This place looks like the casting lobby for Californication. Gorgeous girls everywhere. Food is okay, great place to people watch and eat outdoors.

A surprising stop in Venice. The avocado fries full of texture and taste, jalapeno turkey meatball skewers, and the works burger are diet-ditch worthy.

GREAT FOOD IN A FRIENDLY LOCAL SPOT. Excellent food in a simple corner spot on Abbot Kinney. Great local hangoutm, plus good wines too. Give it a try, you'll be surprised how good it is

Very original cuisine. We loved the food there, as it is pretty original and innovative. Almost like a German-California fusion... If only their portions were a little larger...

Come for the bakery.... Don't stay for the food. Let me start with the positive: the bakery is amazing. The cookies, the bread, the pastries, it's so good, even the strictest diet will crumble. While the menu looks appealing and the space has been designed for a promising and satisfying weekend meal...do not be fooled. The food is mediocre, at VERYbest. Take the pretzel burger: seems to have it all, and on paper it does, but falls so short. It's greasy, which leads to messy, and not in a good way. Just a notch above fast food, and that's only because the prezel bun comes from the bakery. Price is standard for LA. Every meal, good or bad, costs a minimum of $40, but in the case of 3 square, save $30, and have croissant from next door.

Editorial Review. The sister space to Rockenwagner bakery, this small Venice eatery emphasizes three hearty courses a day with an Austrian-tinged menu.

Pretzel bread and mac & cheese--how can you go wrong?. We went for dinner--excellent time. The waiter was incredibly helpful and attentive. The meatballs and croutons were an interesting combination, but very tasty. The warm bread delivered to the table was yummy. The onion rings were good, but difficult to eat. Mac & Cheese was delicious. Don't miss the pretzel bread!

Great Service, Fun Ambience. This is a lovely cafe located on the trendy stretch of Abbot Kinney, filled with wonderful boutiques, galleries and trendy eateries. It's always nice just to stroll through this area on a nice, sunny day.

After hearing about the avocado fries here, I had to try them! I arrived around 11:30am on a saturday morning and the place was already hopping! I had to wait about 10 minutes for the table, but it was fun people (and dog) watching. (Random note - we saw the most beautiful siberian husky here - an immense creature with the most gorgeous blue eyes. The owner was really nice and let us play with the dog.) Ok - back to the review...

Service is awesome here! So friendly and attentive and nice. It also helped that our server was cute. :) But more importantly, the food was quite good. Avocado fries were large strips of avocado deep-fried and served with a smoky tomato salsa (sort of a different take on guacamole). I also had a veal sausage with soft scrambled eggs which came with yummy potatoes. Quite delish.

All in all - an enjoyable place, but I think the ambience and service may have outshone the food for me.

Pretzel Bread....Brillant & Delicious. A friend and I were walking down Abbott Kinney and couldn't help but notice how hopping 3 square cafe was so we stopped in for brunch. The friendly waitress recommended the hamburger w/ Swiss Cheese and Grilled Onions on a Pretzel roll. It was a great recommendation and delicious. My friend had the omlette special which was a few types of cheeses, asparagus and ham. She said it was good but it was an omlettee...she felt better after she ordered a pretzel role. The cafe has a small menu with a bravian flair. Items were fresh and tasty and service was good even during the busy bruch rush.
