helpful servers, dreadful french, dreadful savannah
Whatever it's called, it stinks. French 75, Savannah, whatever it's called, the happy hour/dinner service here is dreadful. I work nearby and have had lunch here on several occasions with no problems whatsoever. However, it seems like once the evening shift begins, they replace the formerly helpful, hard-working and cognizant servers with a bunch of glassy eyed robots whose job it is to stand around and stare blankly into outer space. Seated by a miserable hostess who couldn't even bother to offer a smile. It took 10 minutes for a waitress to come over and ask us if we wanted drinks even though the place was pretty much empty. Then it took her another 10 minutes to FIND a drink menu. When she finally managed to locate one, she handed it to us without a word (no mention of happy hour specials) and then proceeded to hover at the table until we had made a decision. Never got a chance to find out if the service would have improved as we got up and left after she took the drink order of ONE person at the table and then sauntered off. Never looked at the other diner, never addressed the other diner. Just walked off. We waited five minutes to see if she would come back and take the other order and she never did. And then when we left, she was nowhere to be found. No doubt staring at herself in the restroom mirror trying to remember where she was.
Editorial Review. Located in the Westfield Mall, this cozy brasserie features French standards like onion soup and savory crepes plus steakhouse menu.
