Don’t Go, A Nightmare This place was a nightmare. First finding it and finding parking are a big pain. Well because I had parking issues and this was my first time there I was a few minutes late. When I went in they said nothing about me being late and started the massage. The massage itself was not that great, I mean I explained I need a light massage and she was very heavy handed, even to the point I had to tell her to stop. Well once the massage was done the girl stated she had to stop early because she had an appointment, which I understand. So I looked up and it had only been one hour even though I booked an hour and a half, but I understood she had an appointment. So when I walked out to pay they charge me for the full hour and a half and when I explained I didn’t think that was right she stated it was my fault because I was late by 10 mins. Then as I was putting on my shoes the girl keep asking if I wanted to give her the tip, which I found very rude because if I decide if she deserves a tip or not is my business. Well she kept asking and then finally I looked at her and said what do you mean? She told me I MUST leave a tip or I was to never return; I found this so rude I just walked out. Don’t waste your money on crappy service; bad parking and a dirty salon, there are a ton of other places in LA.
Pros: None
Cons: To many to list!

I have tried many massage places, lots of massage places in this price range in southern California are either operated by Chinese or Korean with little or no English. The first thing I liked about Knead is that the place is very professional, and every one speaks English. Parking was a breeze, Starbucks parking will cost you $6.00, but don’t park there. Park at the public parking 2 hours free. I went on Saturday (May 3rd around 1 PM), the lady on phone even offered to put money in the meter if I leave her quarters while I am in the massage session (2 thumbs up for this type of customer service). My massage therapists name was Rachel. Few things about her that I though was NOT professional. During massage session at least 3 times she started to massage with one hand only, I was face down but I knew some thing is not right, then I noticed that she is using her cell phone to reply text messages. When you are in session with a customer, the cell phone should be off limits unless it is an emergency. She also had a slightly runny nose, I can hear clearly that she was getting runny nose. Also at start of the massage she did not rub her hands to make them warm, she just started with COLD hands. I may be very picky when it comes to massage, but these things matter a lot to me. One thing I really liked about her that she knew all the techniques of massages, and do give VERY GOOD massage. For that I will give her 4 stars (* * * *), but for her professional behavior I will give her only 1 star (*). I think overall the place is very good, with great customer service and above all the price $48.00 for 1 hour is really a bargain. Thanks Ramesh
